Immerse yourself in Vietnamese history and culture on this eye-opening tour of the famous Cu Chi Tunnels. Your adventure starts with a pick up from your hotel to be taken to where the Cu Chi Tunnels are located and your enthusiastic guide will help to bring the war to life by walking you through the tactics that were used by Viet Cong soldiers. If you're feeling brave enough, descend into the cramped tunnels for a taste of what life was like for a guerrilla soldier on the front lines. Soon afterward, you'll be cruising down the Saigon River by speedboat, from which you'll be able to observe daily river life and the many picturesque 'weekend' homes that now line the river bank. You'll dig in to a tasty traditional lunch by the riverside to top off this culturally rich day, before heading back to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
Want to go sightseeing around Ho Chi Minh in the late afternoon without exerting much legwork? Then book through Klook and ride a speedboat around the city! Whip out your camera and take wonderful snapshots of the sublime sunset as you move along the Saigon River. You’ll cruise by some of the most popular sections in the city, such as: 1) the Vinhomes Central Park and Golden River, two of the Vietnam’s leading urban complexes; 2) the Saigon Newport, a massive container terminal; 3) the Dong Tay Boulevard, a modern strip considered to be one of the longest ones in the city and all of Vietnam. You’ll also circle the island to see the local fishermen at work and learn about their trade. To cap off this experience, you’ll be taken to either The Deck or Villa Song for a cocktail or mocktail. This activity is a must for anyone looking to see the city of Ho Chi Minh come alive in the evening with colorful nightlights as well as for those who love watching sunsets.
This tour was amazing and exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend this if you’re ever in Ho Chi Minh. Our tour guide (Bigboy) was awesome and really made every effort to ensure we enjoyed the full day, he was very knowledgeable and engaging! If your ever on this tour make sure to not eat breakfast as there is SO much food included and every meal was delicious! Additionally, we got to experience a lot of things we probabaly wouldn’t have done without this tour.
A bit more expensive compared to other tour offers in Ho chi Minh but you get comfort, convenience and worthwhile experience. Tour shuttle was comfortable. Tourist guide was pleasant, friendly and informative. The tour guide answered all our “tourist” questions. Highly recommended tour if you want to immerse yourself in Vietnam history.
Had an awesome time on my tour. First off, I owe my tour guide Big Boy (what he told us to call him) a huge thank you! Your energy gave me energy the entire day. I’m not a morning person, so that was really helpful.
We started the day bright and early. Got picked up a few minutes late (one of the other guests wasn’t ready when they were meant to be picked up), but my tour guide was very apologetic to me. He started the ride off by opening it up and telling us about himself. We were all tired and he didn’t make us talk, but was good to get to know him. He also brought a portable Wifi hotspot for us to use, which made the long drives easy so we could listen to music as we looked out the windows. Everyone slept on the first drive until our first stop, where I grabbed a coffee, and then we all started to slowly talk to each other.
Cu Chi tunnels was cool, but very rigid and touristy. Big Boy did a good job of bringing it to life.
Mekong delta was the star of the show for me. While also somewhat touristy, I still felt immersed in the culture. Lunch impressed me, as did the many other free snacks and treats we got along the way. There were people selling us things as we went, but mostly by giving us free samples and then not pressuring us at all. Five of the six of us on the tour ended up buying one thing that we most enjoyed.
Biking around the city was also great fun. Plus, I was glad we road on the three different boats, including the canoe. It gave a feel of the delta and by the end, I was satisfied and ready to head home. I had mentioned I wanted to buy a coconut, and after one stop, Big Boy has organized for our boat driver to open fresh ones for all of us, free of charge. A perfect finishing touch to a long but great day.
I was in between a lot of tours and after taking this, my conclusion is that you can’t go wrong with any because the destinations themselves are great. That being said, this tour I can verify was wonderful, and if all the quality of guides are like Big Boy, you’ll surely have an excellent time.
it was our last day in Vietnam and we had an amazing trip! long journey but not tiring at all, very informative, we knew so many intresting things not only about tunnels and Delta, but many things about history, culture, language, traditions and lifestyle of vietnamese people. wanna say thank you so much to our guide mister Kien Pham (TNK Travel) for his professionalism, very good english (is important for me, because english is not my native language and usually its difficult to understand accents), humor and energy. thanks to him we will remeber this trip for a very long time. Totally recommend this tour! and if you be lucky mister Pham will be your guide:)
This an absolute must do when visiting Ho Chi Minh! It was such an great day and we had an awesome guide, Kai, who was so funny, kind, and knowledgeable. He made the tour ten times better even though it was a long day. I had a great time and you learn so much about the history of Vietnam and it’s people .
Very great experience, our guide was very interesting and friendly. I liked the fact that our guide didn't hurry us for the next step.
We were a small group (10 people)
The food provided was good but maybe not enough.
I recommend this tour if you don't stay too long in Saigon because in one day you can see many sides of South Vietnam.
