The tunnels of Củ Chi are an immense network of connecting tunnels located in the Củ Chi District of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam, and are part of a much larger network of tunnels that underlie much of the country. The Củ Chi tunnels were the location of several military campaigns during the Vietnam War, and were the Viet Cong's base of operations for the Tết Offensive in 1968. Thank you Klook :)
My friend and I have had many interesting experiences. For me the most memorable experiences were taking a row boat trip on the small canal and visiting the coconut candy workshop. Vinh Trang pagoda was quite impressive but we could not go inside because at that time the monks had a meeting. The guide was nice and enthusiastic. The lunch was ok. In general, it's a good one-day tour with its price.
The tour guide was not as engaging as the other tour guide I came across, however the tour was overall educational and I really enjoyed it.
I loved the experience where I got to walk in the super small tunnels, in which the Vietnamese used to live in during the wartime. I also found the small air holes in the stones, leaves very interesting
We had best experience in Ho Chi Minh whn we visited the Chu Chi Tunnels. A half day more than enough to visit the tunnels. We really get the feel of how difficult it must have been to live down there for sustained period time. The tunnel quite small and narrow than I thought 😂. But, it’s interesting. It’s shows the quick view of Vietnam 🇻🇳 history. Our tour guide very informative and kind of funny too. He can speak English too ♥️
We had a great time at the Cu Chi Tunnels! A half-day is more than enough to see the tunnels and get a feel for how difficult it must have been to live down there for a sustained period of time.
Our tour guide was kind and informative, and also took very good care of a guest who twisted her ankle as she was exiting the bus. Thanks again TNK!
Be warned, the tunnels are extremely SMALL and NARROW - not for people who are claustrophobic, have knee problems, or are elderly.
