One Christmas Eve, young Masha is given a wooden Nutcracker — and at midnight, the world turns to magic. The tree soars, toys come to life, good battles evil, and a fairy-tale kingdom opens its gates. Tchaikovsky's most beloved score — pure wonder, danced live on stage.
The Original, From the City Where It Was Born
The Saint Petersburg National Ballet Theatre — whose main stage is the legendary Hermitage Theatre — brings around 40 dancers, authentic full-size costumes and grand sets. Leading the company are soloists Oksana Bondareva (Mariinsky) and Ivan Sitnikov (Mariinsky). Over 5,000 performances across 45+ countries — world-class ballet in the Vaganova tradition.
