Cherish Tonight｜Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra｜Concert Introduction

The Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra will present a unique concert in tribute to the legendary pop idol Danny Chan. Assistant Artistic Director and Resident Conductor of the HKCO, Chew Hei Chiat, will lead the orchestra, joined by chromatic harmonica player Ho Cheuk-yin and the orchestra's gehu principal, Tung Hiu Lo, to perform a selection of Danny Chan's classic hits, such as "偏偏喜歡你" ("Just Like You"), "一生何求" ("What More Can I Ask For"), and "漣漪" ("Ripples"). During the concert, some pieces will feature Danny Chan's original vocals, accompanied by precious archival footage, creating a transcendent musical experience for the audience. This concert is not only a heartfelt homage to Danny Chan but also a profound reflection on the cultural legacy of Hong Kong's pop music.
