Disney 100: Travel Together with Times Square | Festival Introduction

“Adventure is out there!” For its centennial, Times Square and Disney invites everyone to a Travel Together with Times Square fantasy journey at the prime shopping mall from July 14 through September 3, with household classics welcoming patrons in various theme zones. The journey commences in the Open Piazza, where art installations of favourite characters will lead you to a world of magical Disney moments. Continue onto the interactive art gallery on level 2 for a treasure hunt of familiar Disney quotes – with the help of a magic tool! Visitors can also create a unique art piece to add to the exhibit simply by taking snapshots of the Interactive Gallery. After that, bring home some Disney souvenirs from the pop-up store on level B1 or, or from the Dark Arts Gala pop-up store on 5/F where fans will be immersed in chic items jointly produced by Disney and fashion brand KYUBI. The cherry on top is the Disney item redemption program! Upon designated spending, fans can redeem a Disney umbrella and waterproof picnic mat. Art installations featuring Disney favourites and their famous quotes, with HK debut of Up’s life-size figure of Young Carl

Behind the “Disney 100” archway in the Open Piazza await a number of Disney favourites: Mickey, Sulley, Buzz Lightyear, Stitch, Cheshire Cat, as well as a young Carl from Up – who is making his first Hong Kong appearance as a 3D life-size figure. Accompanied by their classic quotes, each makes for an Insta-perfect spot that also takes fans down memory lane.

“Happiness is a state of mind. It’s just according to the way you look at things.” As one of Disney’s most iconic characters, Mickey embodies genuineness and curiosity. Reclaim your young heart and get foolish and creative with Mickey to enjoy life to the fullest!

Immerse in Disney magic in the art gallery on 2/F

In the art gallery on level 2, visitors will find two interactive zones. The one on the right is filled with different trompe l’oeil and hidden elements to recreate classic Disney quotes. Under the theme of Disney’s first character, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, the wall of this zone features a playful Oswald drawing lines with a pencil, creating a visual illusion effect. Looking from a certain spot, fans will find a three-dimensional mural as if Oswald were breaking through the sketch paper with his pencil! The other interactive zone spotlights Peter Pan, the leader of the Lost Boys from Neverland who never grows up and Aurora, the graceful and kind princess from “Sleeping Beauty”. Slowly walk from the left to the right – you will see secret messages quietly left by the two characters.

The large interactive zone is accented by mosaic geometric lines and figures in vibrant colours – as if a Disney fantasy world were right there! On a mysterious red and white wall just off the entrance, visitors can look out for hidden images with a magic tool and decipher some secret Disney messages. Sign up for a Times Square membership, pick up the magic tool at the Customer Service counter on level 2, and start cracking the code!

The other side of the wall features Coco, where light boxes of different sizes carry images of selected movie scenes. Miguel is there to greet fans with his signature guitar too. Favourite Disney quotes adorn the gallery walls and are set to take patrons down memory lane!

On the left-hand side of the Atrium, Disney fans can immerse themselves into the “Disney 100 Photo Gallery”. Face the big digital art piece, follow the instructions to choose your favourite Disney Art and quotes, and take a picture of the magical moment to create a unique Disney 100 art piece.
