The HKMU Creative Arts Graduation Show, themed “Imagination Is Your Playground” this year, will display 112 works of over 290 graduates of the HKMU Creative Arts programmes. The creative artworks will be in a variety of formats, including animations, short videos, interactive installations, photography works, and advertising campaigns, showcasing their creativity and talents, and expressing their reflection on themselves and society.
The five programmes of the Creative Arts Department of the School of Arts and Social Sciences are “Creative Advertising and Media Design”, “Creative Writing and Film Arts”, “Animation and Visual Effects”, “Cinematic Design and Photographic Digital Art ”, as well as “Computing and Interactive Entertainment”. The Graduation Show serves not only as a platform to showcase the students’ learning outcomes but also as a demonstration of the students’ creativity and passion for art to the public.
“Computing and Interactive Entertainment” graduating student team develops an innovative software and hardware system, “Gesture Racer”, which allows players to control car games using intuitive gestures, providing a new level of immersion and excitement for gamers.
“Golden Sheep Road”, an impressive animation created by “Animation and Visual Effects” graduating students, features the futuristic animal city as its story background, showcasing their creativity and skills in visual effects.
