About the event
Hello, Hong Kong Colors Plus|Exhibition Introduction

Tokyo born Kumiko Matsushima was previously a successful career woman in the corporate world, when one day, the pressure became overwhelming and she found herself feeling depressed. The constant stress of achieving sales goals had become too much. After moving to New York City, she decided to take a different path. She picked up a paintbrush to create art, and very soon, this healed the knots in her heart. One day, she dreamed that she was wearing her left and right shoes reversed, which heralded a change in her career path for the future, and inspired her to use "dream" as the theme of her art ever since. Having travelled the world, Kumiko possesses a unique affection for Hong Kong and has lived in the city till 2021. Taking photos of the beautiful surroundings everyday and showcasing how East meets West, more than 20 of her photographic works will be selected for her upcoming exhibition, Hello, Hong Kong Colours Plus, from March 22 to April 20, 2023. Catch these invigorating works at the Arts & Crafts Studio at PMQ to appreciate Hong Kong through Kumiko’s eyes. A "Meet the Artist" session will be held on March 23 from 4pm to 6pm, don’t miss out!
