Julie, now our new chingu, is a very hands-on tour guide. Never in my life I have encountered a tour guide who knows all of our names all through out the tour. She is very organized; she explains things briefly and is always on time. And she’s always checking the tour joiners! She’s very observant and always ask if we’re okay! She’s very energetic from the beginning yo the end. Furthermore, she’s very accomodating for questions and we learned a lot outside of our tour. The tour is new and there’s so much opportunities to develop and improve; but Julie made the experience 200% better. Her good vibes energy is so contagious! You can see her passion in doing this job. She’s also a good photographer so trust her if she says go to a point and take some picture. Ultimately, she has vision on what she wants to be as a tour guide, which translates directly to her work. For the tour, we get rerouted to a liquor factory because of soaring temperatures, forcing the frozen lake with the duck facility close before our event. They said the frozen portion of the lake is too thin. Nevertheless, we got unli tasting of the liquor and learned many brands. There were a lot of liquor to taste—red wine-like, champaigne-like, makgeolli, vodka-like—with free snacks. We got to take home one makgeolli as a souvenier. There’s not much to do in the Baegan Valley, but the sledding is so much fun!!! Avail the sledding, definitely worth it! The pink sand in herb island is a bit underwhelming in size; you need to do some tricks to make it instagram-worthy. There’s a cafe near the pink sand where you can just chill and pass time. A relatively challenging uphill walk is required to reach the pink sand area, but there’s a truck you can get into that will carry you to the top. Nevertheless, the tour is fair for its price. The tour highlights more of the simplicity of Korean life in the outskirts, which we find peaceful and enjoying.

Coby was our tour guide, he told us so much information and not just BTS related. Any questions we had, he answered. We even decided to make an extra stop when he asked us if we wanted to. Thanks Coby for making our day amazing!

My family and I had an amazing time with our tour guide Stella. She was so knowledgeable and very insightful. She helped us understand the history and culture of Korea. We were so grateful for her service and support. We participated in cultural dining we would not have done otherwise on our own. She had the ability to expedite services and direct us to discounted options. Getting grounded with navigation in Seoul is challenging for first timers. I highly recommend a guide. Second, our tour driver Charles was fun too. My husband had a good time having another male to connect with and they laughed about many cultural similarities! Would do this again definitely.

Amazing guide! Firstly, I was late for the photoshoot but he still waited! Throughout the journey, he made small talks so it wouldn’t be awkward, joked around at times, even hyped me up when I was having my photos taken 🤭🤭

As a geology enthusiast, I went to Korea at the end of July and joined this tour. The weather was very hot, but the shuttle van made everything much easier, allowing us to visit so many unique attractions.
Seohae Cable Car & Coastal Ecology
I was thrilled to see the mudflats and sea caves during low tide from the cable car. The panoramic view on the return trip was stunning. Riding the Crystal Cable Car, with the ocean visible beneath your feet, is incredibly exciting. The mudflats play a role in purifying seawater and air. We also went to the lighthouse to feed the seagulls. Strolling along the coastal path, the sea breeze was refreshing. The guide also introduced "부약제경 (扶濟????經)", explaining the concepts of supporting the land, aiding all things, observing nature, and managing the universe, which was very meaningful and informative.
Hwaseong National Geopark
Getting up close to the magnificent sea stacks was a real eye-opener for a geology enthusiast.
Windmill Road
A row of white windmills sits on the sea, set against a backdrop of blue sky and white clouds, making it a perfect spot for taking photos. The open scenery along the way lifted my spirits.
Starfield Library Suwon
I relaxed and rested in the air-conditioned library, reading two books. One of them was written by a psychiatrist, talking about how he pursued academic excellence and perfection from a young age, and how he eventually reached a breaking point. There was a picture in the book of him pulling a rickshaw, and collapsing one day. It resonated with me deeply, and made me feel that everyone needs to learn to let go of themselves from time to time. Unfortunately, because the itinerary was tight, I couldn't spend more time in the mall, but I understand the need to balance so many attractions. There was also a sharing session by an emeritus professor from Seoul National University that day.
Gwangmyeong Cave
This cave was originally a mine, abandoned in 1972. After more than forty years, it was redeveloped as a tourist attraction. Inside, you can see the poignant history of the miners, as well as exhibitions introducing the rocks that were mined, luminous installations, and a unique wine bar. I remember them mentioning a seven- (or nine-) level mine shaft, as well as introducing water quality exploration. The cave also houses an aquarium and aquaponics plant displays.
The cave is cool, making it perfect for summer visits, but be aware that there are many stairs, and I saw some people getting cramps, so be careful. Passing by the area selling red wine, there was also an installation art piece depicting the four seasons, representing the Korean proverb "꽃길만 걷자고," which means "walk only on flower paths," symbolizing a smooth and beautiful life for everyone, which was heartwarming.
Although the weather was hot, the itinerary was well-arranged, and the shuttle van made everything much more convenient. Each attraction was unique, covering geology, ecology, culture, and life reflections. I recommend it to friends who love nature, geology, and culture. Klook's arrangements were very professional, and I really enjoyed myself!
