    1. Jackson Square

    In the French Quarter of New Orleans sits Jackson Square, or Place d'Armes, which was originally known as Place des Arts. The St. Louis Cathedral, with its white exterior and distinctive cone-shaped spires, steals the show on one side of the plaza. There is a lot to see and do in the area along the Mississippi, including the millhouse, the moonwalk, and the riverboat docks.

    2. Jazz Music at Preservation Hall

    If you don't know about the city's rich history of music conservation, you're probably missing out. On St. Peters Street in New Orleans' famous French Quarter, a crowd gathers nightly to watch the gallery's exhibits. This iron fence leads to Preservation Hall, one of the world's most respected music venues. Dedicated to the preservation of New Orleans jazz, the house band plays on a regular basis.

    3. Carousel Bar & Lounge

    With a merry-go-round bar like this, partying in the USA would be a lot more fun.     4. Beignets at Cafe Du Monde

    Trying Café Du Monde's signature beignets (French doughnuts) since 1862 is a must when you visit New Orleans. What makes it special? Aside from their long record of serving doughnuts as a specialty, their fritters are actually a popular go-to snack served fruit-filled or plain. They go well with their signature café au laits and chicory coffee.

    6. Besthoff Sculpture Garden

    This eleven-acre historic park in New Orleans is situated only a few blocks from the city's municipal park. First opened in 2003, the garden has quadrupled in size to feature more than 90 sculptures. Two lagoons are surrounded by pine, magnolia, and live oak woods. The garden's design allows a viewing tour for tourists to enjoy the blooming scenery.

    7. Audubon Zoo

    As one of the most popular tourist attractions in the United States, the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans offers an excellent diversion from the bustling streets of the city. A wide variety of animals can be seen in the park, including tigers, leopards, lions, and tigers' prey. If you’re into reptiles, white alligators are also found at Audubon Zoo as well.

    This interactive space for children is a go-to spot in New Orleans.
