Starbucks stores to add to your travel itinerary!
As we've all been stuck in quarantine, the second best thing to Starbucks would be making DIY Starbucks drinks at home - but nothing's quite like the real thing. Fortunately, they've restarted pick-ups and online deliveries around Metro Manila, but it'll most likely be a while until we get to sit in a nearby Starbucks branch to enjoy our go-to cup of coffee.
While we wait for updates, let's travel virtually through the prettiest Starbucks locations around the world. From a Starbucks Train (that actually goes through the Swiss Alps) to a Starbucks branch that'll take you back to 16th century France - check them out below:
1. Starbucks Kyoto Ninenzaka Yasaka Chaya, Japan

A coffee shop located in a 100-year-old traditional Japanese house, how does that sound?
This Starbucks store nestled in the heart of a quaint district in Kyoto has two stories and boasts 51 seats. Guests can comfortably take off their shoes and enjoy their coffee sat on tatami cushions!
2. Starbucks at Prague Castle, Czech Republic
If the Starbucks in Shibuya Tsutaya can give you the best view of the Shibuya Crossing, the Starbucks at Prague Castle can guarantee you the best view of all of Prague, Czech Republic.
Located in one of the largest ancient castles in the world, this Starbucks branch offers cozy interiors perfect for a staring contest with one of Europe's most breathtaking sights.

3. Starbucks Reserve Roastery, Milan, Italy

The Starbucks Reserve Roastery in Milan spans over 25,000 square feet and is basically a dine-in museum for coffee lovers. Get ready for a visual feast as you step into this stunning Starbucks Reserve branch.
Guests will also be spoilt for choice with over 100 different types of Starbucks drinks to choose from - not to mention the hand-crafted ice-cream, cocktails infused with coffee, and freshly baked treats they've exclusively added to this branch menu.
4. Starbucks Hualien Bay Mall, Taiwan

This store was designed by Japan-based architect Kengo Kuma and was built using a total of 29 shipping containers! Seating space is spread over two floors and the exterior offers an extremely stylish aesthetic that's perfect for that insta-worthy shot.
5. Starbucks Davis Bangkok Hotel, Thailand

You might think the photos above were taken against the backdrop of Rome, but it's actually the exterior of a Starbucks store located in the heart of Bangkok! The Roman-inspired architecture of this particular outlet has made it a hotspot for locals and tourists wishing to capture a perfect shot.
6. Starbucks Fast Fac Wang Noi, Ayutthaya, Thailand

Ayutthaya is Thailand's hidden archaeological gem that houses many ancient palaces, temples, and monasteries. The ancient city makes for the perfect day trip from Bangkok, as it is only an hour away.
Pop by the beautiful Starbucks Fast Fac Wang Noi, a store with a striking orange brick exterior meant to mirror the same look and feel of its neighbouring temples. The interior is just as cozy as it looks on the outside!
7. Starbucks Capucines, Paris, France

Ever wondered how Marie Antoinette enjoyed her coffee? Probably with a side of cake and in a place that looks like this! Starbucks Capucines is housed in a 17th century building (built around the time of the French Renaissance period) that's been preserved to produce this stunning romantic interior. It's situated close by to Paris' Opéra Garnier, so be sure to stop by after your tour!
8. Starbucks Famille Park, Seoul, Korea

Korea is known for its many instagram-worthy cafes, so we honestly didn't expect anything less from their local Starbucks.
Known as the most beautiful Starbucks in Korea, Starbucks Famille Park's boasts a modern glass dome exterior that encloses a wooden-panelled interior that we can only describe as an urban coffee forest. Our favourite part of the store is definitely the centrepiece decor with flying birds as pictured above!
9. Starbucks Reserve Dewata, Bali, Indonesia

The Starbucks Reserve in Bali is the largest in Southeast Asia! Designed as a coffee sanctuary, Starbucks Reserve Dewata is a spacious location that spans across 20,000 square feet and includes a coffee seedling nursery.
Visitors can enjoy more than 100 handcrafted beverages that are exclusive to the reserve such as the Lavender Latte, House Affogato, and Origin Flight!
P.S. Don't forget to also shop for some Dewata-exclusive merchandise such as uniquely-designed mugs and tumblers you can't find elsewhere!
10. Starbucks Pike Place Market, Seattle, United States
Though a lot humbler than the other stores on our list, this one deserves a very special mention. The Starbucks store located at Pike Place Market in downtown Seattle is lovingly known as the Original Starbucks - it's the first Starbucks store in the world, established in 1971.
The store has kept most of its early appearance, including the original Starbucks logo that has changed a lot over the years (fun fact: the Starbucks mermaid started out being brown and is now green!).

11. Starbucks train, Switzerland
All aboard the Starbucks Express! This two-level Starbucks train in Switzerland boasts a sleek red and white exterior and can fit a total of 50 patrons. The interior of the train provides a lounge-like experience where travellers can sit back and relax with their favourite cup of beverage.
12. Starbucks Dazaifu Tenmangu Omotesando, Fukuoka

Be surrounded by traditional woodwork in Kyushu's unique Starbucks concept store. This store in Fukuoka is located along a pathway that leads to Dazaifu Tenmangu, a popular shrine in the city. Besides a cozy interior, you can also shop for limited-edition Starbucks merchandise with unique Fukuoka-based designs that will serve as great souvenirs for yourself or your loved ones.
13. Seattle Roastery Reserve & Tasting Room, United States

The Seattle Roastery is Starbucks' first-ever Starbucks Reserve Roastery that opened its doors back in December 2014! The space invites coffee lovers to experience coffee from bean to the cup.

Sip on your coffee in an adorable century-old Western-style building in Kobe, Japan! This Starbucks store is housed in a cultural heritage site, and is a delightful coffee hub that's extremely popular amongst tourists and locals alike.
Painted green and white on the outside, it's hard to miss it when you walk up the slope of the neighbourhood. Our favourite spot in the store is the terrace seating that's lovely in spring or autumn when it's not freezing nor too humid!

Located in Dubai's extravagantly decorated mall, the Starbucks store in Ibn Battuta Mall will make you feel small with its high ceiling dome, monumental arches, and breathtaking decor!

Here you'll find a rustic Starbucks store housed in what was once an old church. Designed with natural stone and wood, this Starbucks branch blends into its environment with its ski-lodge feel of an exterior.
