*Note: Spoilers ahead!
1. Stranger Things Season 4 – Within 2022
Easily one of the most awaited shows on Netflix is the fourth season of Stranger Things. Fans of the horror-thriller series are eager to explore the town of Hawkins after 3 years of waiting since Season Three came out. We surely can’t wait to see our resident bike squad and telepathic baddie Eleven, back in our Netflix slate (still waiting to see where Barb is though!).
2. Umbrella Academy Season 3 – Within 2022
Gerard Way’s gifted band of misfits is back this year for another bonkers season of superpowers, time-traveling, and without a doubt, an amazing soundtrack. We personally can’t wait to see all the Hargreeves siblings and how they deal with the questionable Season Two finale reveal: the Sparrow Academy!
3. All Of Us Are Dead – January 28, 2022
This is exactly what zombie fans are waiting for after Train to Busan! This horror series is aimed to bring new meaning to the zombie genre, following the lives of high school students who try to survive and escape out of their high school a.k.a. ground zero of a zombie outbreak! All of Us Are Dead also stars Park Ji-hu, Yoon Chan-young, Cho Yi-hyun, Lomon, Yoo In-soo, Lee You-mi, and Lim Jae-hyeok.
4. Euphoria Season 2 – January 9 onwards
Reminiscent of the hit 2000s British teen drama Skins, Euphoria follows the lives of Rue, Nate, Jules, and others as they go through their adolescent years surrounded by drugs, alcohol, sex, and scandal. The show garnered a big following after the first season with notable names like Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schaefer acting their socks off in this gorgeously stylized drama.
Season Two is now streaming on HBO GO with new episodes releasing every week.
5. Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area – Within 2022
La Casa De Papel or more known as Money Heist was a global smash hit on Netflix with fans chanting Bella Ciao for months on end. It wasn’t long until an adaptation was in motion and was picked up by South Korean producers to remake and replicate the show’s success with the unique flare of Korean cinema.
6. Bridgerton Season 2 – March 25
Who knew 1800s gossip would turn out so juicy? Lady Whistledown most certainly did. We absolutely loved following the lives of the powerful Bridgerton family with Daphne being the main focus from Season One. Returning in the show is Jonathan Bailey who plays Anthony Bridgerton, the main frontliner for Season Two as he takes on London society by storm.
7. The Crown Season 5 – November 2022
Coming back by popular demand is the award-winning tv series The Crown for its stronger than ever Season Five release. Fans of the show can expect a new cast list with Imelda Staunton as its front runner as Queen Elizabeth II. The newest season’s premise will cover key historical points in the 1990s with the John Major government years, Prince Charles' affair, and the culminating years of Diana in 1997.
8. House Of The Dragon – Within 2022
Let’s face it, we’ve been carrying a dragon-sized hole in our hearts since the end of Game of Thrones last 2019. You can definitely imagine our surprise when House of the Dragon was first teased in the interwebs. Hold the door, the rumors were true! House of the Dragon is a prelude to the stories of the original show and dates back to hundreds of years during the time of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D'Arcy) and Prince Aegon II (Actor has yet to be revealed).
9. Obi-Wan Kenobi – Within 2022
One of the reunions we’ve been waiting for is almost here! The Star Wars gods have given us a boon in the form of a prequel show with Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) and Anakin (Hayden Christensen). Disney+ has announced that the show is set in between Revenge of the Sith and the original 1977 Star Wars movie.
10. Moon Knight – March 30, 2022
Two words, Oscar Isaac. When news broke out that Oscar Isaac is set to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, admittedly, we squealed. The show follows Marc Spector who suffers from dissociative identity disease (DID) discovers an Egyptian moon god named Khonshu. This dark thriller also stars big names like Ethan Hawk and the late Gaspard Ulliel.
