📢 Gentle Reminder:

  1. Temperature: July to August is the hottest season, with temperatures generally ranging from 18 to 28 degrees Celsius.
  2. Attire: There is a large temperature difference between morning and evening on the grassland. It is cool in the early morning and evening, but quite hot at noon. You can refer to the weather forecast before traveling to determine the daytime temperature, but it is recommended to bring a light/heavy jacket depending on the season, preferably a windproof softshell series. Bring normal summer clothes in summer, and long-sleeved shirts or ice sleeves in spring and autumn. It is best to wear long pants to avoid sunburn. When riding a horse, it is recommended to wear durable jeans or tight-fitting long pants, and comfortable sneakers/outdoor hiking shoes. If you don't know what to wear, white is always a safe bet. Low-saturation light colors like white, beige, blue, yellow, red, green, and brown are all photogenic.
  3. Skincare: Use appropriate moisturizing skincare products and recommended SPF50+ outdoor sunscreen. There are basically no obstructions on the vast grassland, so it can be very sunny. If you care about your skin, be sure to do a good job of sun protection, including physical sun protection such as sun-protective clothing, hats, and masks. There are many mosquitoes on the grassland in the evening, so it is recommended to bring mosquito repellent.
  4. Eye protection: Prepare sunglasses, straw hats, sun hats, and parasols, which can not only prevent glare but also create a stylish look.
  5. Food: Mongolian cuisine is all about eating meat in large portions. The cattle and sheep in Hulunbuir are raised on the natural grasslands and graze freely every day. The meat is fresh, tender, and firm, without any muttony smell. Most people who don't like lamb can accept it.
  6. Medications: Motion sickness medicine, gastrointestinal medicine, digestive medicine, mosquito repellent, insect repellent, band-aids, povidone-iodine disinfectant, alcohol wipes, etc.
  7. Luggage: Backpack + suitcase. It is not recommended for the backpack to be too large, and the suitcase should not exceed 24 inches.
  8. Please bring relevant documents before departure, such as ID card, military officer ID, soldier ID, student ID, disability certificate, etc. Any preferential ticket price differences will be refunded on the spot. Children without ID cards should bring the original household registration book.
  9. Horse riding: When riding horses on the grassland, stay within the designated area to avoid getting lost or damaging the grassland. When riding horses on the vast grassland, wear gloves and sneakers. When riding horses on the grassland, be sure to follow the arrangements and instructions of the local horse herders to avoid danger. Pay attention to safety when riding a horse. It is best to have a groom lead the horse the first time you ride. Do not ride alone, and do not run on horseback. You must dismount and walk on dangerous roads and downhill roads, otherwise you may be injured. Try not to run, play, or make noise in the horse preparation area to avoid scaring the horses. Do not open automatic umbrellas near horses, and do not do strenuous exercise when approaching horses to avoid startling them. Do not feed the horses casually to prevent being bitten. (It is not recommended for people under 1.2 meters and over 60 years old to ride horses).
  10. Customs: The grassland's "dismounting wine" is a traditional way for Mongolians to treat guests, expressing the grassland herders' respect and love for their guests. Usually, the host pours fine wine into silver bowls, gold cups, silver cups, or ox horn cups, holds it on a long Hada, and sings a moving traditional Mongolian toasting song. The guest should then take the wine, dip their ring finger in the wine and point it to the sky, the earth, and the forehead to show respect for the sky, the earth, and the ancestors. There is no need to force yourself to drink if you can't, just touch your lips to show that you have accepted the host's pure friendship! (Rumor has it that some backpackers were very sincere in the past. They didn't have much alcohol tolerance but wanted to express their sincerity, so they drank all the wine and didn't get to play anything, just slept soundly, and went to the grassland for nothing).
