Good to know
We'll be meeting up outside exit 4 of Asakusa Station on the Ginza Line facing the bridge crossing Sumida River
This tour involves walking at least 3 km in 2 hours, so it's a great idea to wear comfortable shoes and bring water to stay hydrated, especially in summer.
After taking in the modern and old double-face of Asakusa from the 8th floor of the Asakusa Tourist Information Centre, our guide will take you on a visit to the Senso-ji Complex. Here, you’ll learn about the history of this prime temple in the heart of Tokyo. And you’ll even have the chance to try your hand at drawing your own omikuji (fortune teller)!
We know you’ll probably be hungry by then, so you’ll have delicious snacks to choose from in Asakusa! We’re happy to cover you up to 500 yen, but please let us know in advance if you have any allergies.
Next we’ll head over to Kappabashi, a special place known for its cuisine appliances and realistic food sample menus. You’ll also get to visit a couple of local shops that are famous for their cutlery, ceramics, chopsticks, and more!
Then, the tour wraps up at the main gate of Senso-ji Temple, the Kaminari-mon. But don’t worry, you can also choose to continue onto the Tea Ceremony or the Kimono (Yukata in summer) rental.
