- Fly with our family owned & operated company, husband & wife duo Poppy & Gus are both pilots & you'll find them in a helicopter most days!
What to expect
The scenic glacier flights range from 25-60 minutes, including 10-15 minute snow landings to admire the views and take photos of the fantastic view of the rainforests, glaciers, and mountains that form the incredible backyard operated by an outstanding and passionate small team. Try and experience flying over the Franz Josef, Fox & Tasman Glaciers (depending on your flight choice) & into the Southern Alps for your snow landing. The size of the mountains and the glacier crevasses is sure to impress! Please allow up to 1 hour and 30 minutes for check-in, safety briefing, transport by van to the helicopter, the flight, and then return to the office

Franz Josef Glacier
The 25minute Glacier Explorer Flight may have an alpine landing during seasonal levels of low snow. If you want snow all year around, we recommend booking a longer 35-60minute flight.
Enjoy up to 10-15minutes on the landing site for photos!

Good to know
- Often morning weather is better than the afternoon in Franz Josef.
- Weather changes really fast in Franz Josef, being flexible and able to change your flight time gives you a better chance of flying!
- We recomend checking weather conditions two days prior to your flight.
- There is not much space in the helicopter, just bring your sunglasses & camera.
