What to expect
Liuqiu is Taiwan's only coral reef island, home to a rich coral reef ecosystem and sea turtle population. Influenced by the Kuroshio Current, the sea temperature remains above 25 degrees Celsius year-round. In winter, the Central Mountain Range blocks the northeast monsoon, making Liuqiu ideal for water activities in all seasons. We look forward to you experiencing the beauty of Liuqiu.
- Pets are welcome. Xiao Heiren provides pet-specific life jackets; please notify us in advance if needed.
- Liuqiu has an extremely high density of sea turtles, and they are generally seen on sea turtle tours. Xiao Heiren's tour areas have been selected and are often conducted in small groups, significantly increasing the chances of seeing sea turtles compared to other canoe operators.
- Heiren instructors take photos during the activity with waterproof cameras. We do not recommend bringing your own phone or camera. If you still wish to bring them, Xiao Heiren provides free waterproof phone pouches for your use (please take care of them yourself).
- People who cannot swim or are afraid of water can participate in the activity. Professional instructors will lead the activity, and qualified life jackets will be worn throughout.
