Why should children join MR. MEN LITTLE MISS Swimming Gala 2021 HK?

• We hope to let the children to learn and experience their first swimming competition. We encourage them to build up an independent and successful competition experience in a relaxed and pleasant environment! What is the event category?
• It is divided into “Fun Swim(25m)” and “Elite Swim(50m)” competing in different styles of swimming. What are the age restrictions for attending events?
• The event allows children between 3-12 years old to join. It is calculated by the year of birth. Please select the group according to the year of birth during registration. When will the start list be released?
• The start list will be released 1 week before the event day. Further details will be announced on Facebook page. Where is the event venue?
• Australian International School Hong Kong (3A Norfolk Road Kowloon Tong Kowloon) Please get off at Kowloon Tong MTR Exit E > turn right and walk along Tim Fook Road (around 3 minutes’ walk). Please be reminded that there is no parking space at the venue. What is the award of the swimming gala?
• There are Gold, Silver and Merit medals for each heat. Finisher medals and e-certificates for all finishers. My child is not very good at swimming. Will he/she be able to finish the competition?
• We have arranged sufficient swimming coaches to keep eyes on the children in the water. They will assist the children when necessary. While lifeguards will be on duty and their swimming coaches are allowed to observe next to the pool. Is it suitable for all swimming levels?
• The Fun Swim (25m) category is equivalent to a 25m pool. There will be no problem if he/she can usually finish during swimming lessons. Even if there are difficulties during the competition, the coaches will be on standby assisting the children to complete the meet. Can family members accompany participants?
• In line with the Prevention and Control of Disease Ordinance, the number of attendees and related epidemic prevention measures is restricted. Each participant can only be accompanied by a parent. Participants must scan for “LeaveHomeSafe” or fill in a health declaration form beforeentering the venue. Participants must undergo temperature check with temperature below 37.5°C. There will be no audience allow to enter the swimming pool area, please enjoy the live broadcast at the auditorium. What do I need to bring on event day? What is the reporting time?
• It is recommended that participants shall arrive at the venue at least 30 minutes in advance to register. Remember to show the registration confirmation email (e-version) and redeem the swimmer kit on site. It is recommended that children should dress up with swimming suit in advance. Tip: Please do some warmup exercises to prevent injury.
