What to expect
This sumo stable is the sacred training ground where the great yokozuna Kitanoumi served as the master and personally provided guidance. At the sumo stable, a guide will explain the history and rules of sumo in English while you enjoy a chanko nabe hot pot. After watching the powerful sumo wrestlers up close, only 10 people per time slot will be able to experience a sumo training session. Those who do not participate in the training can still enter the dohyo ring at the end for a commemorative photo with the wrestlers. This activity can be enjoyed by adults and children alike, even if they know nothing about sumo. Please note that if there are few people who wish to experience sumo training, the session may end earlier than the scheduled time. Chanko nabe hot pot will be served during the 11:00-13:00 and 19:00-21:00 sessions. Please note that it will not be served during the 15:00-16:30 session. Vegetarian options are available; please inform the staff on the day of your visit.
