From the birthplace of Ukiyo-e – a dedicated Japanese team presents an art extravaganza that blends tradition and innovation!

"Moving Ukiyo-e" brings together classic works by Ukiyo-e masters from the Edo to Meiji periods, including Katsushika Hokusai, Utagawa Kuniyoshi, Utagawa Hiroshige, Kitagawa Utamaro, Tōshūsai Sharaku, and Utagawa Kunisada, showcasing over 300 original and representative pieces.

The exhibition combines displays of original paintings with beautiful and dazzling 3D CG animations and projection mapping technology, complemented by original music full of Japanese flavor, creating a comprehensive immersive interactive space. Audiences are not just “looking at paintings,” but personally “entering” the world of Ukiyo-e – traversing the streets and alleys of ancient Edo, experiencing the heroic姿of samurai, the allure of courtesans, and famous scenic spots, embarking on a visual and sensory cultural celebration.

Zone 1: Origin of Charm

This zone will take you into the birth and development of Ukiyo-e, from the civic culture of the Edo period to the creative journey of Ukiyo-e masters, providing an in-depth understanding of how Ukiyo-e shaped and reflected Japanese society and its features at the time. You will see how Ukiyo-e broke through traditional artistic frameworks, captured the beauty and emotions of everyday life, and had a profound impact on later generations.

Zone 2: Famous Landscapes - Vista

The Famous Landscapes Zone takes you into the perspective of Ukiyo-e masters, immersing you in the Edo scenery depicted by Utagawa Hiroshige and the magnificent scenery of Katsushika Hokusai's "Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji," allowing you to experience the artistic charm of famous Japanese landscapes.

Zone 3: Flowers and Beauties - Splendor

In this gorgeous space, admire the beauty of flowers and women that have been loved since ancient times. Blooming flowers and Ukiyo-e beauties complement each other, showcasing the delicate postures and emotions depicted by Kitagawa Utamaro, such as joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness. His innovative art of "beauty paintings" elevated the elegance and emotional expression of women to new heights.

Zone 4: Water Scenery - Waterfall

This area gathers precious original Ukiyo-e works, allowing you to admire the artistic essence of the Edo period up close. In addition, the zone recreates Edo-era amusement facilities, allowing you to personally experience the entertainment of the time and feel the fun and charm of Ukiyo-e in a joyful atmosphere.

Zone 7: Natural Rhythm - Color

This zone will take you to appreciate the beauty of nature in Ukiyo-e bird-and-flower paintings, delicately depicting the vivid scenery that changes with the seasons. Ticketing Information

  • Event Dates: 2025/12/24 - 2026/03/10
  • Opening Hours: Monday to Sunday 10:00-18:00 (Last admission and ticket sales at 17:00)
  • Each ticket admits one person for single entry only. Tickets are void once scanned and are non-refundable.
  • Please keep your tickets safe. Lost, damaged, or expired tickets will not be reissued or exchanged.
  • Items and gifts included in package tickets must be redeemed on-site no later than 17:00 on the last day of the exhibition. No replacements will be issued after the deadline.
  • Visitors with e-tickets or e-voucher serial numbers can proceed directly to the exhibition entrance for verification and entry without exchanging for physical tickets. Refunds are not accepted for verified QR codes and e-serial numbers.
  • Concession tickets are only available for on-site purchase. Concession and free ticket holders cannot combine multiple offers when purchasing tickets. Please present relevant identification documents to staff for verification upon entry.
  • If the ticket is a complimentary VIP ticket, it is forbidden to resell or exchange it for cash. Violators will be prosecuted according to the law without the organizer's permission.
  • For tickets purchased through various channels, please go to the original point of purchase for refunds and follow the relevant regulations of each channel.
  • Refund requests must be made no later than 17:00 on the last day of the exhibition. A 10% handling fee of the actual sales price will be deducted in accordance with Article 6, "Refund and Exchange Mechanism" of the "Standardized Contract for Cultural and Arts Exhibition Tickets" stipulated by the Ministry of Culture.
  • Other ticketing regulations or any consumer disputes arising from this ticket shall be handled in accordance with the Standardized Contract for Cultural and Arts Exhibition Tickets promulgated by the Ministry of Culture.
  • To ensure the health of all participants and in compliance with government epidemic prevention measures, please cooperate with on-site staff instructions to measure forehead temperature and sanitize hands with alcohol. The organizer reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone with symptoms such as coughing or fever (≧ 37.5 °C), and no refunds or compensation will be provided for the ticket fee. The organizer reserves the right to interpret the event regulations and matters if there are any omissions.

Exhibition Hall Notice

  • No cloakroom service is provided in the exhibition hall. We are not responsible for personal property loss. Please take good care of your personal and valuable items.
  • Please comply with government epidemic prevention regulations, visitor flow, exhibition hall rules, and on-site staff instructions. If there are large crowds, please queue in an orderly manner.
  • No running, playing, eating or drinking is allowed in the exhibition hall. Please do not bring food or beverages into the venue. Smoking, chewing gum and betel nuts are prohibited.
  • It is forbidden to hawk or resell tickets on-site. Those who fail to comply with regulations after being advised will be asked to leave immediately without objection, and no compensation or refund will be provided for the ticket fee.
  • Pets (except guide dogs), long umbrellas, strollers and various dangerous and illegal items are not allowed in the exhibition hall.
  • It is forbidden to pat, touch or climb on exhibits and display cases in the exhibition hall. Compensation will be required for any damage.
  • There are on-site staff members in the exhibition hall to maintain order. If you find any suspicious persons or unidentified objects, find lost items, or feel unwell, please immediately notify the nearby staff for assistance.
  • If you need to re-enter on the same day, please go to the exit to stamp a verification seal, and show the verification seal at the entrance to queue up again for entry. Valid on the same day only.
  • If there are any changes to the exhibition opening hours and regulations, please refer to the on-site or official fan page announcements. The organizer reserves the right to interpret the event if there are any omissions in the above matters.
