What to expect
Escape the busy streets of Canggu — just 30 minutes away, in a quiet Balinese village, clay spins to life in a 30-year-old studio led by a master ceramic artist with over three decades of experience.
You won’t sit through long explanations — instead, you’ll learn the artist’s way: through touch, intuition, and observation. At the pottery wheel, he’ll guide your hands as you shape the clay, giving you several turns to practice and find your own rhythm.
Afterwards, decorate your piece with playful details like butterflies or geckos. Come with an open mind: this is less about perfection and more about experiencing clay the way Balinese artists do. You’ll also glimpse the studio’s craft factory, then wrap up by choosing a handcrafted mug to take home.
