[Lake Toya, Hokkaido] Lake Toya & Noboribetsu Jigokudani (Hell Valley) & Bear Ranch or Mount Usu Day Trip

[Noboribetsu Hell Valley] Located in the northeastern direction of the Noboribetsu Onsen area in Hokkaido, it is a crater about 450 meters in diameter formed by the volcanic eruption of Mt. Hiyori. The valley is full of countless fumaroles, spewing high-temperature gas and hot springs. This desolate landscape is reminiscent of hell, hence the name “Hell Valley.”! [Mount Usu Ropeway] Mount Usu is one of the world’s active volcanoes, with four eruptions observed in the 20th century. Visitors can enjoy a panoramic view centered on Mount Usu in the Toya Caldera and Usu Volcano Global Geopark. [Bear Ranch] Brown bears are Hokkaido’s largest wild mammals. At the Bear Ranch, you can feed the brown bears. When they see food, the brown bears stand up and wave to the tourists, looking very cute. [Lake Toya Lakeside] Lake Toya is approximately 11 kilometers long from east to west, 9 kilometers wide from north to south, with a circumference of 50 kilometers, a water surface elevation of 84 meters, and an average water depth of 117.0 meters. The lake water is clear. The lake surface does not freeze in winter, making it Japan’s northernmost ice-free lake, with clear lake water all year round. [Mount Yotei] Hokkaido’s Mount Yotei is also known as Ezo Fuji because it resembles Mount Fuji. Basically, it looks like a smaller version of Mount Fuji. It is very majestic. [Lake Shikotsu Ice Festival] It is Japan’s northernmost non-freezing lake. The lake water is clear and has extremely high transparency, making it as beautiful as a gem! Mainly themed around the icefalls on the shores of Lake Shikotsu, ice pillars and snow piles formed by the lake water are used to create ice and snow spectacles with lighting effects at night.
