- Walk up the memorable trails and go on an adventure
What to expect
Cape Town's most popular hike. Quietly situated between Table Mountain and Signal Hill is Lion's Head, a sphinx-like peak that lets you in on a full panoramic view of the Capetonian capital, alongside points of interests like the Table Bay and the Atlantic seaboard. Lion's Head is a moderate 1-hour ascent, a fair challenge to beginner-going-on-intermediate hikers, with steep slopes, rock scrambles, and climbs that will leave you restless. However, while the slope starts off with little to no effort, the trail will take you to new heights and edging cliffs, as well as chain ladders that will prove as a major rough point along the rail. A spectacular landscape of the entire city awaits you at the top, with amazing Capetonian and a gorgeous Atlantic ocean view. Learn about the points of interest in the city below and across the bay as if you were soaring in the sky. Descend as the sun falls and see the city lights light up the skyline.
