What to expect

Ghibli Park is a park that represents the world of Studio Ghibli, and the five areas are spread out across the massive grounds of Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park (Moricoro Park). Take a stroll through the park and find various ways to enjoy yourself.

Indoors at the spacious Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse the world of Studio Ghibli never ends. There are displays to be a part of, play areas, valuable production materials and more as well as a café and gift shop. The Hill of Youth features World Emporium and The Rotary from “Whisper of the Heart”, The Cat Bureau from “The Cat Returns” and also includes the Elevator Tower which is open to the public. In the Dondoko Forest, Satsuki and Mei’s House will deliver you to the world of “My Neighbor Totoro”. After a jaunt up the stairs to the hilltop, the wooden play equipment Dondoko-do is waiting for children to climb inside. Mononoke Village is inspired by mountain village landscapes like Emishi Village from “Princess Mononoke”. It includes the hands-on learning center Tatara-ba and structures of the characters Demon Spirit and Lord Okkoto. Valley of Witches is inspired by Studio Ghibli’s witch-related films such as “Kiki’s Delivery Service”, “Howl’s Moving Castle” and “Earwig and the Witch”. In the European-style townscape, there are buildings that appear in the films including Okino Residence, Howl’s Castle and The House of Witches as well as shops, a restaurant and rides.
