📍 Reservation and Meeting Information
- Group tickets for the Zao Ropeway in Yamagata have been arranged. To avoid duplicate purchases, please do not purchase individual online priority tickets in advance.
- Departure times and itinerary details are highly likely to change due to the different reservation slots available for Zao Ropeway tickets each day. The supplier will send a pre-trip notification email to the email address you provided one week before departure. Please be sure to check it to protect your own rights.
- The amount of snowfall in the South Tohoku region varies slightly each year, and significant snowfall usually occurs around the end of December. The best viewing period for the Zao snow monsters is from mid-January to early March each year.
- If you choose to join the tour before the snow season, you may still have the opportunity to enjoy the autumn foliage. However, we cannot guarantee snow cover or snow monsters. Thank you for your understanding.
- This tour requires a minimum of 2 people to form a group on the same date. If the minimum number is not reached, you will be notified of whether the tour is confirmed or not at least 7 days before departure, and any unconfirmed orders will be canceled.
- Please arrive at the designated meeting point 10 minutes before the meeting time. Late arrivals will be considered a no-show and no refunds will be given.
- All important notifications will be sent by email, so please check your email regularly to avoid missing critical information.
- Group reservations have been secured with the ropeway supplier for this tour's Zao Ropeway tickets, allowing priority entry. However, this does not mean no waiting time. During busy periods, you may still need to wait approximately 0.5 to 1 hour (general queues are approximately 1 to 3 hours).
🚗 Itinerary and Transportation Arrangements
- This tour is a shared day tour in Japan and will be joined by other international travelers. Please cooperate with the meeting time and group pace.
- The type of vehicle will be adjusted according to the number of people on the day. We cannot specify the vehicle, so please understand.
- The itinerary may be adjusted due to traffic or weather conditions. Please follow the instructions of the accompanying staff.
- If the Zao Ropeway is suspended due to weather conditions, the ropeway fee will be refunded, but the tour will continue as scheduled.
- Roads may be snowy and icy in winter, and travel times may be delayed. Please avoid scheduling overly tight follow-up itineraries.
- Accompanying staff will provide assistance in Chinese/English/Japanese/Korean, but we cannot specify the language. Thank you for your understanding.
🧳 Baggage and Participation Qualifications
- It is not recommended to bring children under 2 years old or those with reduced mobility. This tour does not provide baby seats or barrier-free facilities.
- If you need to bring large luggage or have a tight schedule, please specify this when registering, and we will assist with arrangements where possible.
- The Ginzan Onsen area is a pedestrian street and cannot be accessed by car. You will need to get off the car and walk in, so please prepare your personal belongings.
- The snow season can be slippery. If seniors or pregnant women are traveling together, please consider your physical condition before deciding whether to participate.
- You can bring personal equipment such as ski poles and anti-slip shoe covers. Please prepare these yourself if needed.
👟 Clothing and Meal Recommendations
- It is strongly recommended to wear waterproof and non-slip snow shoes, a down jacket, hat, gloves, and scarf, and other complete warm clothing. You can also bring heat packs and a thermos.
- Recommended items to bring: a small handkerchief or towel. Ginzan Onsen offers free foot baths, which you can use after soaking your feet.
- Lunch time is free time on this tour. Please take care of your own meal expenses and choose your own meals. Staff can provide basic assistance, but if you have allergies or dietary restrictions, please be sure to confirm the contents and choose carefully.
- Mountain restaurants in winter are crowded or have irregular hours, so it is recommended to prepare simple food or energy supplements in advance in case you need them.
