Booking guidelines
- This pass is for non-Liechtenstein / Switzerland residents only. You must currently be staying in a different country for 6+ months and provide proof of residence (visa/residence card) and proof of citizenship (passport)
- Important: Make sure to input the correct information. Once confirmed, no changes to the booking (e.g. activation date, ticket type, & traveler information) can be made
- If you’ve resided in country A for over 6 months but are a passport holder of country B, either fill in A as your country of residence at checkout and provide your passport and proof of residence while on the train or fill in B as your country of residence at checkout and present your passport while on the train
Pass eligibility
- Free for children aged 0-5 as long as they will not occupy separate seats
- If the child is under age of 6, you do not need to enter them as a passenger. They can travel free of charge and do not need a Swiss Family Card
- Costs of children's seat reservations are additional to the ticket
- Child ticket must be purchased with adult ticket, it can not be purchased separately

Jungfraujoch Top of Europe Ticket
- When booking your Swiss Travel Pass or Swiss Half Fare Card fares, it's important to note that a Ticket ID number must be provided at the time of booking. These rates can only be purchased if you already hold a pass with a valid Ticket ID. Failure to provide this information may result in your booking being canceled. Please ensure you have your Ticket ID ready when making your purchase
- What to wear? keep in mind you will be travelling at an altitude of 3,454 metres above sea level, temperatures below freexing point are to be expected in winter and summer. The basic equipment would include a jacket, closed shoes, a hat and sunglasses
- Can I travel to the Jungfraujoch before my booked/ reserved seat time? Yes, but this will result in the forfeiture of your seat reservation. The seat reservation is only valid for the reserved time slot. Passengers without a seat reservation may board the Jungfrau Railway when all passengers with a seat reservation have boarded and as long as there are still free seats. If all seats are occupied, passengers without a seat reservation must wait for the next Jungfrau Railway train and may have to face longer waiting times at Eiger Glacier station
- What should I do if I missed my reserved time? You can start the journey without a reservation or pay to book a new reservation. The latter is only possible if there is free capacity
- How does boarding work Station Eiger Glacier (Jungfrau Railway)? At the Eiger Glacier station, you change from the Eiger Express to Jungfrau Railway trains. Follow the markings of your colour (green, yellow or pink) and pass the turnstiles towards Jungfraujoch at least 10 minutes before train departure
- What do I have to bear in mind when returning from the Jungfraujoch? Keep an eye on the time – especially if you are taking a glacier hike to the Mönchsjochhütte (mid-March to mid-October). It can take a while to get back to the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe station
- Return journey with the Eiger Express: If you travel to Grindelwald on the Eiger Express, you have to change trains at the Eiger Glacier station. Follow the “Grindelwald” signs and change to the Eiger Express
