Great Be prepared for a classic yet aged Victorian building. Hallway and room was kind of stale and musty. Breakfast though was a great treat. You have to want to experience staying in this kind of building or you might be complaining about it like my partner.
Oh, and the construction across the street is ruining the harbor view.

Beautiful view of the harbor (although there was construction happening, the noise level was not high nor bothersome), great staff, clean room, delicious breakfast and wonderful Afternoon Tea! Amazing experience overall!

GreatStayed with partner
The hotel is beautiful, the staff helpful and the bed comfortable. Our issue was the upstairs toilet made a huge noise and from some unknown reason the guest flushed two nights in a row at 3 AM!! Who does that, especially if they know how noisy it is??
But the hotel should have known about the situation as I doubt it just started making noise on the day we arrived.
When we brought the issue to them it was quickly repaired. A bad float valve is my guess. We also had a shower head that barely passed enough water to rinse soap off. This quickly was resolved too.
Definitely consider going back next time we are in Victoria.

Great unique property, excellent breakfast, Emily Carr suite was spacious, comfy bed, there is construction blocking the harbor view and starts early and goes kind of late, no elevator so need to be ok with stairs to third floor. We had a great time!!

Lovely historic hotel/Inn. Staff very helpful and friendly. Amazing English breakfast. The only thing I wish they had was a lounge area where I could have a drink and meet other guest. Great location on inter harbor and walking distance to all the sights.
