Great

Checking in is difficult and the property manager doesn’t always answer the phone. When she did she was rude. Only staff that is there is the breakfast crew and housekeeping gives clean towels daily Very cute place, no reception on the TV, hot tub has no cover and gets dirty easily and no jets. The location on the south coast is good

Was not expecting this to be an unstaffed “hotel” if that’s what you want to call it. There is no staff onsite, you get a code the day of arrival emailed to you (better hope you have reception) that allows you to open a key lock. Then you have to figure out where your room is in what seems to be a house converted into numerous rooms. It is more Air BnB/VRBO than it is a hotel. Very confusing

Good

Check in was handled poorly. They told us a room, did not leave a key properly, and we were left to spiral reading reviews for the property for a half hour before we could get in touch with someone who assigned us a different room. Things were fine, though our experience was scarred by the check in process. Check out instructions were also unclear.

The room we were assigned to is NOT a hotel room. It's an attic. Its roof is so low that no one could stand up without bumping their head against the roof. It is extremely dangerous. It's illegal to make it a hotel room. No staff was available when we arrived with self-check-in. No one picked up the phone or responded to my Expedia messages.

Fantastic

You couldn’t ask for a more scenic location for this hotel…mountains literally just outside your windows! And with the lupines in full bloom…it was breathtaking! The hot tub out back was a great way to unwind at night and breakfast had a wide variety of food offered…great start to the day!

This hotel is breathtaking! I didn’t want to leave. Our room was excellent, and breakfast was by far the best I had in Iceland. I will definitely be staying here again if I ever go back to Iceland!

Nobody there to check in. The host screwed up the reservation. No key for the reserved room. AVOID if you don’t want to stay in your car overnight at 10 degrees!!!!

Superior room was a great size with a comfy bed. Hot tub was a nice addition. Some nice snacks and drinks available day around, and breakfast was reasonable! Lovely feeling to the place, authentic and unique!
