FantasticStayed with partner
Stones hotel was conveniently located and offered us a lovely place to stay as we explored nearby sights. We had the absolute pleasure of meeting Becca who went completely out of her way to ensure that our stay was absolutely perfect. Highly recommend.

GoodSolo stay
This hotel had the nicest front desk clerk, Becca. She was incredibly helpful, kind and professional. The cleaning staff was also very nice.
However, in summer, without air conditioning the room was unbearably warm and stuffy. Some of the normal amenities were missing and the restaurant was nothing to write home about.
Great location to see the area and with great staff, I would stay again.

Motel about 5 miles north of Salisbury. Room very spacious and cool in a very hot week, on-site restaurant, lots of parking. Staff always friendly and helpful
Breakfast buffet a bit disorganised and quality variable
Not many amenities nearby

The Stones Hotel provided a nice stay for us. Clean, quiet & friendly. They are right on the bus line to go into Salisbury, which was a very nice town. We would love to come back!

Below averageStayed with family
One of our rooms was very hot and loud because it’s near the extraction fan from the restaurant. Another room where my parents stayed, the heating was on (during a May heat wave) and the tap/showering water was boiling hot with no cold running at all. The staff came to check, said there are no spare rooms to switch to because of the bank holiday weekend. They called the manager, promised to give me an answer, but then I saw ran to her car and never showed again.
I asked another staff member. They called the manager and said they will give me partial refund and discount for breakfast, but I will need to wait until 9am tomorrow for the manager to come. We waited until 11am and the manager never showed up. I left my number to ask them to call me. No returned call.
I have asked agent to follow up with them. Again, 1st they said they will refund, but need to wait the manager to sign off. I just received message that this hotel refused to refund. They charged double their usual rate and they provided little to no service, no management and poor living conditions.

GoodSolo stay
I stay here frequently due to the ideal location for my place of work, since the hotel changed hands several years ago it hasnt been the same, its very poorly staffed, often only one or two staff in at any one time, having to deal with check-in, the bar and any resturant needs.
I have stayed in numerous rooms and all seem to have no or little regular maintenance especiall the showers where a good de-scale of the heads, and repairs to the controls are neccessary. Most of the staff are very helpful however I feel the overall management of this hotel is the primary cause of the issue mentioned.

Enjoyed our stay, although should have had things pointed out to us on check in. Didn’t have our room serviced as missed the sign. Lady on check in could have been little more welcoming. Ground floor room, curtains didn’t pull together well, and kettle leaked.

GoodStayed with partner
A good location for our short overnight trip. We arrived after 10pm which was fine. Staff on the desk were practical but not super welcoming. It was a hot day and we had our dog with us. When we got to our room it was absolutely stifling and there was no way we could stay in the room with him. So we requested a room change (Note there is no air con in the hotel! The receptionist seemed a bit overwhelmed but did a good job of finding a much cooler ground floor room which was absolutely fine apart from the fact that the shower and sink only ran hot water and very hot water! Tbf we knew that but just wanted a much cooler room. Room was nicely set out and comfortable. As hotel it looks nice and rooms are nice but the lack of air con and staff on the desk not quite on the case are the main reasons for the lower score. We would visit again as it was a good price. We didn’t have breakfast.

GreatStayed with pets
The stay was very good. My only slight criticism was that the digital check-in details, in which I gave details about my arrival and a request for a first floor room didn’t appear to have made it to the reception staff. The actual check-in receptionist was very good.
