The check-in is guaranteed for 4 PM. That is late by any measure. Nevertheless, my check-in was delayed 15 minutes. Fundamentally I think that is a ridiculous time to check in.
The Hilton app displays a message on the digital keying item icon to contact the front desk when your room is not ready. At least that’s what the front desk told me. That doesn’t make any sense. I asked him why it just didn’t display. This room was not ready, but they told me they have no control over the app. Obviously that’s the wrong answer.
The cabana pool was nice. It was a family pool so inevitably there were children screaming and crying. Would be nice if there was an adults only pool. Service was very good at the pool. And of course, the hotel location is beautiful.
I also very much enjoyed using the Hilton app for access to the hotel and my room.
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay, but did not appreciate the delayed check-in.
