Hotel is actually a few hotels together. You check in through one house and go to another where your room is. Was told we should have an email telling us where to check in but nothing came through. There is no signage saying Oxford Hotel. Only criteria I wanted was room to be clean and have aircon as we went hottest week of the year. Our room was clean but aircon did not work properly, it just blew slightly cool, room was 27 degrees whole time. Windows can only open slightly as they are locked. I asked for help, which did come as there was a problem with lights as well. Lights got sorted but aircon not. The staff were very apologetic and tried to help, but maintenance guy insisted i put aircon to 29 degrees kept saying it needs to go up for it to go down, which I didnt get but he set it and left. I didnt want to argue so thought we will just deal with a small fan like breeze and with windows half open endue the night. Bit of a sweat box but was ok. Room said 26 degrees in morning so was rather sticky. The TV would glitch saying signal bad, but we dont really use the tv so wasnt a problem but may be for some. Everything else was fine, bed was comfortable, bathroom was nice and clean. Check out was ok, would stay again as long as I was guaranteed aircon working.

Couldn’t actually find the entrance as there’s no signage for Oxford hotel. Had to go in another hotel at the address and apparently they share a reception. Otherwise really good.

Fantastic
Overall good but they say breakfast is included and it is not. You need to pay a surcharge.

Great location and small hotel that has had some refurbishment and modernisation. Its busy and well used but staff should ask automatically if people need help. Signage on floor 1 was absent and meant took ages to find room. Its not suitable for people with mobility based disabilities as alot of steps and winding hallways. Room was small but tidy. Bed was uncomfy as mattress soft. Air-conditioning was very cold. Lots of missed opportunities for residents including making nicer balcony space to use as living space and improving garden. Toiletries and water in room should be replenished every night of staying not just first day. It says I purchased at a big discount but it wasn't worth as much as I paid.

I stayed in a room that was partially under the sidewalk, it was small but modern and it had a large walk in shower. It had all amenities and was cheap for a an area close to central London. And only a block from the underground .

Only tiny issue was that the air conditioning/ heating system was broken. However the staff fixed the issue straight away and were happy to help. I’d definitely stay here again. Ideal location to shops, restaurants and tube stops.

Unfortunately, my room was not in the hotel outside in a detached basement into hotel room conversion you could hear all the time people outside in the street with their carry ones etc. that wasn’t even the biggest issue but there was a damp smell and an ant infestation. Many ants that were by the door and also on the desk, chair and found 2 in the bed. I messaged the hotel after I checked since I needed to run to an event but no one replied even after i followed up, when I finally returned it was quite light and the night concierge was not helpful since he said he didn’t know much but that the hotel was fully booked and couldn’t do anything. I didn’t sleep at all, in the morning I went to speak with the morning team given the night concierge said they were going to know how to help me since I was checking out and wanted to issue a complaint but the morning team just told me to email the reservations team and that they didn’t know much either since during weekends there’s no managers, very odd so I hope if you book here you don’t have any issues during the weekend if proves to be an issue. Now I’m waiting on the complaint resolution
