Absolutely terrible customer service. Despite there being 24/7 check-in. I made five separate phone calls, to what seemed like an overseas call centre, to get into the building. It probably took more than an hour of standing/sitting on the pavement outside, with one call handler simply hanging up on me, to get into the place with a dying phone battery. After eventually getting in, I was too tired to even utilise the facilities I had paid for like having a proper shower. Even then, there was just a random This Is Spinal Tap DVD to watch on the TV. I think the reasonable person would prefer an actual spinal tap than going to this hotel - unless in dire straits e.g. it’s 1am in the morning and there is literally nowhere else to go. Big up the takeaways nearby though for letting me charge my phone there. Kindness matters not scripted button pushers in an apparent random call centre who couldn’t care less.

We were there during a heatwave. Air con didn’t work so it was v hot. Had windows open but that made it v noisy, woken up every night by yelling/music etc. Room was clean but shabby. Bathroom was nice but could have done with some ventilation. Didn’t interact much with staff but they seemed nice. Don’t bother paying for the breakfast, there are many better options nearby.

I was not to impressed that I had to wait 40 mins outside the property to enter. All comms was done via WhatsApp and they took their sweet time. When I did get in the building my room was just a room no bathroom this was not stated when I booked that it was a shared bath

For whatever reason, Expedia and the Hotel didn't send automatic check in details to me - nor was it clear that check in was automated. I spent nearly 2 hours in a chat bot death loop trying to gain the Pin I needed to access the Hotel. 10 years ago this was a lovely, friendly quirky Hotel with nice staff, now it's poorly maintained, unstaffed and unfriendly. I will choose dealing with people face to face and paying a bit more over this chat bot, death of employment nonsense next time. What a shame.

Room and towels were clean, and TV with a few DVDs was a bonus. Shared bathroom was dated but clean and fine.

Decent hotel pretty basic but did the job for one night. Could barely sleep because of the constant police sirens going past the window all night. Other than that it was okay.

Room was clean. Fantastic value for money. Easy check in. Me and my teenage daughter felt very safe throughout our stay. Ideal hotel if you’ve been to the Brixton Academy.

Didn’t have breakfast, I ate a cafe 10’min walk away.. I don’t think they were doing hot food at the hotel ( I would call it more a guesthouse) I’m surprised my Bed didn’t break, and the springs were felt through the mattress..I had a room that faced the street.. trust me I got more sleep in NYC then here.. the amount of sirens etc
