We stayed at the Gateway Hotel for one night while attending a family celebration in Santa Monica, and it exceeded our expectations. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the staff was friendly and welcoming from check-in through departure. The location was ideal—an easy drive to the beach and convenient to restaurants and other attractions, while still being in a quiet, safe area. Our room was comfortable, and we had a great night’s sleep. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend the Gateway Hotel to anyone looking for a quality hotel that offers excellent value in Santa Monica.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Gateway Hotel Santa Monica. The hotel appears to have been recently remodeled, and everything felt clean, modern, and well maintained. Our room was comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel offers a complimentary continental breakfast each morning, which was a nice bonus before heading out to explore the area. The location worked well for us and made it easy to get to Santa Monica's attractions, even though we didn't spend much time walking around the neighborhood. Overall, it was a clean, comfortable, and affordable place to stay, and we would definitely consider staying here again on a future visit.

Clean room respectful staff good surviving did not like that tv was off line couple of times we had to stream our own Hulu Netflix and so on and especially that I had to pay 20 dollars per day for parking that should all be included

I have stayed in this hotel at different times. It is a convenient spot in Santa Monica including the Pier, it is clean and had covered parking. They give a free continental breakfast. It does not have a pool but other than that I would recommend this hotel.

Solo stay

Very clean. Helpful staff. Fitness center is the size of 2 walk-in closets, I felt uncomfortable with 2 other people in there and left. the breakfast is unexpectedly basic. Maybe worth the price.
