Don’t expect the front desk to be staffed consistently or for the service to be welcoming. Double-check that your room isn’t already occupied before settling in. If you have questions or need assistance, don’t expect a friendly response—I was met with attitude instead of customer service. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

My wife and I stayed at the Outrider Hotel while celebrating our 10-year wedding anniversary. Overall, we had a nice stay, and the staff were consistently kind, helpful, and professional. However, the hotel appeared to be severely understaffed, with the front desk seemingly responsible for handling nearly everything. She did her best, but the lack of staffing was noticeable. The lobby was very small and had far too much furniture for the space. It felt crowded and left very little room for guests to stand comfortably while checking in or out.The pool, hot tub, and other recreational amenities were a highlight of the property. They were very nice, clean, and well maintained. Accessing the room was more frustrating than expected. Instead of a traditional room key, the door used a passcode, which did not work during our first four attempts. It took multiple tries and coordination with the front desk before we were finally able to enter. For a hotel at this price point, it felt like an unnecessary inconvenience. The room itself was clean but very minimal in terms of amenities. The photos online also make the hotel appear much more upscale than it actually feels in person. Since we were celebrating such a meaningful anniversary, we were hoping for more of a romantic, elevated experience. While the property was pleasant and the staff were wonderful, the overall atmosphere, room size, limited amenities, crowded lobby, and access issues did not quite match the upscale image or price.

Solo stay

Loved the updated hotel; feels very clean and new! I used all the amenities - hot tub, sauna, etc. Everything was clean and relaxing. Nice to look at Pikes Peak while soaking in the hot tub! The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. The only slight downside is the availability of parking if you arrive after about 7pm, but the desk staff helpfully pointed out some available spots I hadn't seen. Room was clean, quiet, cozy. I loved it and will definitely return when I go back to Manitou Springs!

Fantastic

Solo stay

Absolutely incredible, I loved it all, the front desk lady was extremely cool. It doesn’t feel like a hotel the room feels like a home and vacation. Do the cold plunge, sauna, and the only sad thing was no one was there this morning for me to buy a shirt.

Great
Positives: - Large clean room with nice view. - Very clean and upgraded building and amenities. - Staff is VERY friendly and helpful. Need Improvement (but easy to fix): - Pool was a bit chilly. Please warm it up a bit. - No desk in room. Put in a small desk and office chair. - Pillows new and fluffy but not much substance. Get some good pillows. Overall: I would go there again.

This apparently newly renovated hotel had well appointed, comfortable rooms (if maybe a little cramped in our double queen). Staff was super friendly and helpful. Great location minutes from Garden of the Gods, Red Rocks, Manitou Springs, and Old Colorado City. The sauna and cold plunge were a game changer for after hiking the Incline. Definitely would stay again.
