Excellent location and a wonderful breakfast. However, the room amenities did not match the standards of a great hotel. We booked a superior double room, but it lacked basic essentials: there was no safe, no fridge, and not even a desk to work on.

Great location, perfectly clean, exceptional breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed and quiet rooms. Fully blackout blinds which are a must during summer months. Note to future guests: the spa is only available to hotel guests during narrow morning windows Monday to Thursday, outside of which you will have to pay the usual day visitor’s entry fee. Would not be suitable for weekend visitors unless you plan for the additional costs.

The hotel is a great choice to stay when exploring Bergen. Breakfast is fantastic and gym is well equipped. Spa is nice. A few areas to improve on; water temperature in shower frequently changes from cold to hot. We were given an accessible room when we asked for a standard room. This meant the bathroom wasn’t particularly practical for us.
