Definitely good value especially if you visit the attractions that are more costly. Get to save up to $40. Though do check the individual attraction opening hours as Klook is not accurate. Reserved Old Melbourne Gaol for Tuesday via Klook to only find out they are closed on Monday and Tuesday. Had to change my plans to accommodate the change in itinerary. Otherwise, smooth process to use the tickets to enter the attractions and worth the value
The zoo is about 1.5h away from Melbourne (45mins train and 20mins bus - but just one bus every hour). The safari bus is super cool and you get to see the animals pretty close. The zoo overall is quite small but is quite an experience! Staff are all friendly and facilities are clean. Definitely recommend to those who first visit Melbourne!
Melbourne zoo was amazing. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves animals. The zoo was big and it covered quite a lot of ground ao i would recommend you wear something that is comfortable, especially shoes. I went early so most of the animals were asleep 😅 . The butterfly farm was very pretty.
Probably the best of the zoos in Melbourne - great experience and easily fit into a day with 3 kids in tow. Suggest to either take the safari bus either early or late afternoon to miss the big crowds - this is the highlight of the zoo. Great to see Rhinos, Giraffes, hippos, gorillas and zebras, among the other array of standard zoo animals. No elephants though which I found kinda wierd for an African reserve given Melbourne zoo has elephants - and don’t expect to see a big array of Australian animals - best go to Maru Koala Park for those. Please note it’s free entry for kids during school holidays - don’t make the mistake of buying tickets on Klook for kids when they don’t need to. Did manage to skip to a shorter queue with klook tickets but still need to redeem at the counter. Lovely open areas for a picnic, and the indoor kids activity centre with the turtles are a nice relief from the heat. Bring some bathers or change of clothes if your kids want to do some water play as there is a cool wet area at hippo beach for them to splash in on the hot Melbourne days
Good customer service. The staff at the Werribee Zoo entry are accommodating and immediately handed to us the maps and directed us to the safari. I suggest, however, that you book transfers to and from the zoo because of the erratic schedules of the 439 buses. Nonetheless, you may ride the train from Melbourne CBD and then book an Uber going to the zoo.
It was an enjoyable outing to the Melbourne Zoo. Also, it was easy to get there using rental car. Redemption of tickets are easy at the counter. The animal there are happy and healthy because they are well treated with no animal shows. The keepers interact well with the animals. We love such an environmental friendly zoo. Keep it up!
