LiFTED Lounge Presents BOHAN PHOENIX and NOVEL FRIDAY at Soho House

LiFTED Asia kicks off our LiFTED Lounge series at Soho House in Sai Ying Pun. LiFTED is dedicated to ‘Elevating Asian Hip Hop’ from across the region, and we start with international MC BOHAN PHOENIX, who splits his time between New York City and Chengdu. Bohan is a true Asian Hip Hop ambassador, and truly East-West. He’s a real player in the game who has collaborated with the Higher Brothers, VaVa, Dumbfoundead, Ryan Hemsworth, Howie Lee and others. He recently was on this summer’s Rap of China.

Opening act NOVEL FRIDAY is one of Hong Kong’s fast-rising MCs. His unique Rap style led to him getting signed to JB’s label Greytone. With a Thai Chinese background, he infuses his heritage and the struggles he experienced growing up within the minority community into his work, then combine that with the robust influence of third culture elements and an innate understanding of musical elements departing from the mainstream, such as psychedelia, alternative, and progressive jazz.

The Selector for the night is MONSTA KEI, one of Hong Kong’s top Hip Hop DJs who will get the party started and keep it bumping all night!
