About the event

What does the city mean to you? Whether it’s the dazzling skyline, the dramatic hillscape, or simply the day-to-day human stories that breathe life and colour into this concrete jungle, we invite you to join us in celebrating everything that makes the city POP!

Young Soy Gallery proudly returns with this exciting satellite show to Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong, presenting an homage to our city that’s even more vibrant and cheerful than popping candies — CityPOP

This year, we’re bringing you five artists in our presentation – Christian Abusaid, Guy Gee, Francesco Lietti, Humchuk, Jerome Leung and friends – whose works are odes to our city in all its forms, love songs for the the hidden beauty that lingers on every street corner and mountain side. With a hint of nostalgia intertwined with contemporary allure, let our artists show you the best of the wonderful city they call home.

We’ll be POPPING at our new space The Cove from 16th May – 4th June. See you there, city dwellers!!

About the organiser

Young Soy is an art gallery dedicated to the everlasting quest of cultivating and celebrating radical cultural influences.

Under the gallery’s representation lives a diverse cohort of artists forming not only different styles, but also different backgrounds and ideologies. This enables the gallery to push the envelope, challenge its audience and continuously expose it to a range of concepts. Young Soy prides itself on representing these artists under the belief that these artists have the potential to claim a position in art history, and potentially even history itself.

The gallery also follows a code of supreme inclusion, meaning they encourage the masses to participate in the dialogue surrounding the artists, and artwork alike. Through the exhibition of such artists, and inclusion of the masses, the gallery remains steadfast in their delirious hopes of making the world a better, more interesting place to live.
