Festival Introduction

Hong Kong is a city pulsing with creativity at every corner — from neon signs lighting up chaotic streets to graffiti advertisements calligraphed on the walls of dim alleys. Taking our city as inspiration, Carnaby Fair proudly presents SUB(X)TURE, a multimedia showcase featuring 6 creatives from various fields. Taking in the majestic, the mundane, and everything in between, their diverse artworks hold an irreverent yet touching mirror to the very heart of Hong Kong.

• Pop artist Ernest Chang — debut visual installation in collaboration with McCafé
• Street painter The Plumber King — street calligraphy in collaboration with LALAMOVE
• Animator DaddyBoy® — cyberpunk VR game space
• DaddyBoy® x MARTELL — word art installation
• Illustrator SIUKINS — artistic interpretation of restaurant Ser Wong Fun, Hong Kong’s king of snake chowder
• Caricuratist Elphonso Lam — illustrations of classic Hong Kong comedies
• Founder of Neonlite HK Polly Chan — neon fixtures of Cantonese slang in collaboration with YAU
