Checkpoint Charlie tours

Sarah of Original Berlin Walks was a fantastic tour guide. She is very knowledgeable and expanded the explanation into the historical stops that we made. It is highly recommended once you visit Berlin.

Signed up for this walk and no regrets. The instructions for meeting point etc. were clear and our guide, Jasper, also reminded us that we needed a transport card. There were around 20 of us, and Jasper was clear with the plan and took the time to explain the history of the places etc. There was also time for a break and Jasper pointed out where we could go for the break. It was 4 hours long but didn’t feel like it because the tour was quite engaging. Overall it was well-run at a good pace with sufficient explanations.

the tour guide waild was fantastic! hes extremely helpful and cheerful! great sense of humour too!! the bus was great, but the driver was late, and he dropped us at somewhere not where the tour guide expected, so that was a bit funny, tho the tour guide did make the most of it (yes, even wrong drop off point) overall it was such a full day, loads of walking but good experience in general.

I love it! aside from the convenience of going around Berlin without walking in the cold during winter, we also had free food and souvenir bag! I highly recommend it.

Podraic’s sense of humor gave a welcome contrast to the stark realities and absurdity of war. He gave facts, insights, and pop culture references perfect for the mix age group. Loved the guided tour. Love how the city feels both historic and lived-in.

What an informative 4 1/2 hrs today. Jonathan N. Made the tour so interesting that the time flew by. So much we didn’t know about the 3rd Reich. We walked past some of the most iconic landmarks in the city. He also answered any questions we had about Hitler, Germany or the wars. We would highly recommend this tour if you love WWII history.

despite having a short time in Berlin, we were still able to maximize our time to visit the iconic places in Berlin through their hop on hop off bus, worth the money and really convenient!
