This is a truly sacred and solemn visual feast. The live music and the monks' focused whirling naturally bring a sense of calm. It's a very unique cultural experience. If you want to delve deeper into Turkey's religious culture and traditions, you absolutely cannot miss the Whirling Dervishes performance in Cappadocia. Although photography and videography are not allowed during the ceremony (please respect the on-site rules! If photography is permitted, you will be informed).

I attended the Whirling Darvish show on the night I arrived in Cappadocia from Istanbul on a domestic flight. I was only allowed to take photos and videos for the last few minutes, so the attached photo is from the very end of the show. I personally liked this because I was able to concentrate on watching the show.

The sema ceremony was amazing. We really enjoyed it. Ozan our guide was really helpful. From the announcer, musicians and the dance was really mesmerising and captivating. The place Motif Kültür Merkezi (Sema Gösterisi Salonu) was under a cave where you can seat around the stage. It is nearby Goreme city about 8 min drive by the Yakut Hotel Kappadokiya. there is a gift shop

It's a great itinerary, the reservation instructions are detailed, and the pick-up and drop-off are on time. Although photography is prohibited during the performance, 2 minutes are left at the end for tourists to take photos and leave memories.

Very surreal experience of this ancient divine performance with such reverence. They also explained the history behind the art form. Must try if you are in cappadocia, totally worth it!

Very culturally educational experience. Initially, no photos and videos were allowed in respect of the ceremony, but participants will be given the chance to take photos and videos afterwards (there will be a second whirling performance). The whole activity was coordinated well. Pick up was on time, and our tour guide Murat was very friendly, nice, and contacted us ahead of time to make sure pick up was smooth.

A very solemn activity, thoughtfully designed with photo opportunities for us. We didn't have to worry about not having any photos as memories. The feeling while rotating was beautiful and sacred, a very meaningful activity.
