Khao Kheow Open Zoo Private Tour

This is a zoo where you can see animals relatively close up in a spacious natural environment. Both the Green Zone and Pink Zone are worth seeing, but feeding experiences are only available in the Green Zone, where you can feed rhinoceroses, elephants, giraffes, and capybaras. Many people suggest watching the elephant show first and then taking pictures with the elephants, but surprisingly, elephants often don't eat the food, instead taking it with their trunks and then discarding it on the ground. Giraffes, however, eat everything you give them and make for great photos, so I personally recommend them. Monkeys can often be aggressive, so it's best not to leave any items in your cart. Also, the two-hour cart return limit goes by quickly when you're feeding animals, so manage your time well. For the elephant show, watching for just 5 minutes is enough, as the rest is repetitive, so moving on quickly is a good strategy. Our driver, Tamm, assigned by Klook, was very kind and friendly, taking photos and providing guidance, which made for a smooth and comfortable journey. We had no concerns about the driver at all.

We had a fantastic time at the zoo! We arrived around 9am and were really glad we got there early before it became busy. We chose not to rent a golf cart as we enjoy walking. The zoo is absolutely massive, but the scenery is beautiful and the animals appear to be very well cared for. In about three hours we managed to see everything we wanted to and more. There was a small misunderstanding with our driver about the timing as we initially thought he was telling us we only had two hours in the zoo. In fact, he was trying to help by offering to drive us to the pink zone after two hours so we wouldn’t have to walk the whole distance, which was thoughtful! By the time we realised what he meant, though, we were already halfway around the park. The only thing we found a little tricky was navigating back to the starting point. There are plenty of maps, but because the zoo is so openplan it took us a while to find our way back. Overall, a really enjoyable visit and definitely worth going early!

We had an amazing time. The experience is superb. Highly recommended to those who wants to have a close encounter to wild animals as they just roam freely in the area making this trip extraordinary and one on the book for all of us. Special thanks to our driver Mr. Tuu who exceeded our expectations and provided all the help that he can offer making it convenient and super fun for all of us. Super worth it. A must try, indeed.

The driver was punctual and very kind and thoughtful!! the zoo is so pretty and very fun!! and it’s really big! i recommend rent the golf car, it makes it even more fun! and ofc the highlight of the trip was Moodeng! she is so pretty and small 😭🥹 so cute!! the only downside is that the zoo doesn’t accept card anywhere ☹️ neither souvenir shops or restaurants, so be prepare with cash!

We took the 2-person tour and we were assisted by P'Muay. She notified us before arriving at the hotel to pick us up and she arrived on time. The vehicle was nice and had enough leg room unlike some of the Bolt cars we rode during our Bangkok trip. Despite the limited English, she was very helpful to us! She used google translate to communicate longer sentences. She drove us around the zoo using the golf cart and took our pictures! We said that we only wanted to check out Moodeng and she didn't mind. We asked to be dropped off to Pratunam Market instead of our hotel when going home and she promptly complied. Overall had a fun experience which was made possible by this Klook operator! 😊

The driver knows a little English. When we go there, he will help us exchange tickets and take us to rent a golf cart. It seats 4 people and costs 550 baht for 2 hours, of which 50 is insurance. We depart from the hotel at 9 am and arrive at the zoo at 10 am. The stay time is about three hours. The return trip is at 1 pm, and we will be back at the hotel at about 2 pm, but if we want to have a thorough visit, there will not be enough time. Semi-open display, monkeys will be on the road at all times so be careful. I didn't see Moo Deng when I went there, but the other pygmy hippos were also very cute. You can buy feed for the penguins, giraffes, elephants, and capybaras and experience feeding them. In terms of experience, I think it is very suitable to go and you can watch the animals up close.

Driver arrives on time and he is very polite and professional. Without his guide, we wouldn’t know how to navigate the zoo. Driver also helped us take some group picture! At the end of the trip, he gave us a little souvenir for us to remember the good time with Moo Deng!!!! We had a wonderful day! Highly recommend to travel with them!

The zoo was rather large and there are a lot to see. You can also rent a golf cart for 550 THB so you can get to points of interest faster. Also, if you are interested in seeing the pygmy hippos like Moo Deng, plan accordingly. They were relatively chill during our time at the zoo, having only changed places once the whole time 😂

The driver, Mr Wut was really helpful and proactive in navigating us around the zoo. He was also accommodating in our request to be picked up earlier so that we can avoid the crowds. The zoo itself was great and the overall ride to and from the zoo was really smooth as well.

Yay….Finally got to see the bouncy pigs, so happy😍 We traveled from Betong District, Yala Province specifically to see the bouncy pigs😅 In addition to seeing the bouncy pigs, we also got to see many other animals and fed them, so exciting. We also rented a golf cart. The driver was kind and took us on a tour of the entire zoo. He was very friendly. Thank you. If I have a chance, I will come back to visit again.☺️🙏
