The bicycle tour with our guide Wayan was one of the most amazing and satisfying experiences we had in Bali! He provided helmets, so we felt safe, and he kept checking to make sure we were doing okay throughout the ride. Also, since it was mostly downhill, we didn’t have to pedal too hard :) We loved stopping by a school to see the children studying, visiting temples, and getting a glimpse of local life along the way. It was such a wonderful opportunity to experience the real Bali. We will definitely do it again when we come back to Bali 🥰 After the tour, we had a traditional Balinese dish called nasi campur, and it was definitely one of the best meals we had in Bali!
The weather was very good today ~ the route was very easy ~ In the morning we went to a coffee farm to experience various local coffees and specialty drinks. The scenery was beautiful ~ and we enjoyed the breakfast prepared by the tour leader ~ Then we started riding, with orange trees on both sides ~ We went to visit a primary school. Today happened to be the day for the results to be announced, and the parents were also present. The children wore local traditional dance costumes and had makeup on their faces, and there was a small performance ~ There are temples in every village we passed by. Today we passed by no less than twenty ~ There are often towering hundred-year-old large-leaf banyan trees ~ Finally, we ended at a cooking school that teaches local dishes ~ We enjoyed our wonderful lunch there ~ The experience was very good ~ The tour leader was very good ~ Because we live outside Ubud, the driver we contacted was also very punctual and responsible ~ Highly recommended ~
Loved the experience! Great guidance by Adi & Dewa.. Started with authentic Balinese breakfast, visit to coffee plantation, local school, immersed in traditional Balinese household and scenic ride across rice fields.. Extremely easy as ride was all downhill.. ended with sumptuous authentic Balinese lunch.. Absolutely worth it!
There’s no better way to explore Ubud’s nature & culture than through this tour. You get to see nice views of the jungle, the paddy fields, visit local school, local coffee plantation, local home, temples all in just one tour. You’ll spend a total of 2-3 hrs cycling and the guide will explain things along the way. The guide will give you plenty of breaks and most of the time you’ll be gliding downhill on your bike anyway, so very easy tour for beginners, young kids and elderly too. We had our 12 year old cycle easily through the route and our 5 year old was in a child seat at the back of her father’s bike (you can request that for toddlers). When asked to make choices of staying on the main road or to take the scenic route, go for the latter. You won’t regret it. But do be careful though because the road is steeper in some places in the paddy field area. And make sure to bring and apply sunscreen because it can get really hot in the afternoon. Overall highly recommended for anyone looking for a once in a lifetime experience in Ubud.
It was the most enjoyable experience in Bali. I definitely recommend it. Even though it rained in the middle, riding a bike in the rain was so nice. It was a really good experience. We could see the countryside of bali, riding a bike. The lunch from the host was also really good.
My kids and I really enjoyed this activity as we love cycling. The vendors were so hospitable and generous when they welcomed us into their home for our breakfast and lunch. I'd like to commend our cycling guide for doing a great job in showing us around the village even though he is only 18 years old (sorry I didn't catch his name). My mother was able to follow us on the tour inside their car as she is unable to ride a bicycle. This was one of our favourite activities in Ubud for sure. Don't hesitate to support them!
We visited a coffee farm and passed by a primary school before started cycling. The cycling was quite challenging and a bit dangerous as it has been raining so the road was quite muddy. Most of the routes were downhill so need to pay much attention.
It was a lovely ride downhill will coffee tasting along the way. Package includes breakfast and lunch which was delicious and homemade. Team was extremely polite and we felt very welcomed. Bike tour was amazing and tour guide was knowledgeable.
Awesome cycling experience! It is an enjoyable ride downslope for most part of the journey as well as an memorable trip meandering along rustic Balinese villages, riding in between terraces of paddy fields, dining inside local guesthouse and finished with a visit to a local graveyard. There are only 2 of us and a family of 3 from Europe. Although a small group, the organiser took great care of us, ensuring our safety and standing by a mini truck with bikes at major traffic junction in case of incident. The team is warm, friendly and professional. Oh yes, lunch in the guest house was so yummy. The lunch was authentic Balinese Nasi Campur. Tips for the trip: slap on sunblock generously and should be confident on bike as most part of the journey is downslope and winding paths around paddy fields with a few road crossing.
The time commitment was well kept, and the tour starting from Kintamani was downhill all the way, so I didn't have to pedal and I was able to run really excitedly. I was really surprised that it was faster than I thought. I rode with my 12-year-old son and he really enjoyed it. The lunch served after the meal was called Nasi Jjampur??! Of course, it must be because I'm hungry~^^ It was really fun and interesting to see the local roads and the locals' neighborhoods that are hard to see for ordinary tourists.
