Reviews
I participated with my elderly mother-in-law, and all the staff were so kind. They thoughtfully supported my mother-in-law, who was unsteady on her feet, when getting on and off the small boats that transferred us to the caves and islands. All the staff at Victory Star Cruise are wonderful, and it was a memorable, perfect, and very satisfying 1-night, 2-day trip! The rooms were luxurious, stylish, and comfortable, beyond what you would expect on a ship. Relaxing on my room's balcony while enjoying the stunning view of Ha Long Bay was truly a blissful experience. Most of the guests were European and American, but they were friendly to us Japanese, and they were all really lovely people. The Sung Sot Cave requires climbing up and down about 400 steps, and thank you to the gentleman guest who kindly watched over my mother-in-law, who could only move slowly! All the meals we had on the ship were of high quality and very delicious! I highly recommend Victory Star Cruise!!!
Wonderful Experience and hospitality provided by victory star cruise. I asked for some special arrangements like honeymoon decor in our room and vegetarian food and oh my god! they did everything exceptionally well. They also upgraded us to a suite room. They very well catered to the need of the Vegetarian food (no egg, no meat, no fish oil) and wait everything was super tasty. The only unsatisfactory part was no music was there on the cruise during the evening or night. It would have added to a great experience during the night time. Nevertheless other things were good. :)
Love the cruise tour. VIP treatment from pick up to food to activity.. The crew team were very meticulous and friendly through the 2D1N. Food is good and all the activities are fun. Love the Kayaking!
Leo, the cruise manager was such a very accommodating and informative guide. I never regretted chosing this cruise as it has balcony in every room. Every meal was an 8-course meal, every penny spent is worth it! This is the highlight of my Vietnam trip! A must do while in Vietnam!
I tried to book a more famous one but it was full and so I tried Victory Star Cruise which was of similar class and also recommended by Klook. I do not regret the choice. The whole trip experience was excellent especially the 3 tour guides. Food on board was also great! Highly recommended
I chose Victory Star for this trip to Halong Bay. The staff were friendly and courteous, the food was great, every room had a room, and the view was great (I saw that not every room on other ships had a balcony). After boarding the ship at noon, we had lunch in the form of a set meal. The shrimps were super fresh and delicious. We took two trips in the afternoon, Surprised Cave and Ti Top Island. Surprised Cave was really amazing. It was awesome and a must-go. After returning to the ship in the evening, there is an experience activity that teaches you how to make Vietnamese spring rolls yourself. Dinner is also a set meal. Early in the morning of the next day, we have a simple breakfast of bread, and then we go boating. You can choose to kayak by yourself, or take a boat with someone to help you. However, this trip is a bit short, and it will be gone in a circle soon. You will rest after returning to the boat. After one hour, check out and have brunch. The brunch is a buffet style, very rich and good. After disembarking at about 11 o'clock, we took the shuttle bus back to Hanoi. Overall, it's very good. As for the shortcomings, the hull is a little bit old, the wooden stairs and the corners of the wardrobe easily accumulate dust, and it doesn't look clean enough (it triggers my mysophobia 😂), and the hot water is not stable enough. (Improved after reporting to the manager) In addition, there are three of us. We originally thought that we would sleep in a triple room or triple room, but it was actually a double suite with an extra folding bed🤣🤣 What we saw when we entered I was a little dumbfounded... and felt a little overwhelmed, but it was ok when I fell asleep. It wasn't hard and difficult to sleep. I also slept until dawn.
The cruise maintain like new, clean and comfortable.Food are very tasty.Itenary arrangement well, avoid crowded people at tourist spot. All staff are friendly and helpful, feel warm welcome when boarding the cruise.I am very satisfied for this tour.
I liked my room. they gave me a suite since I was traveling by myself. the food was great too! I was able to enjoy the sunrise in ha long bay.
smooth transfer to halong bay cruise. food is not bad. abit rush for the itinerary so probably 2 nights will be better
My parents and I had a pleasant experience aboard Victory Star - the Suite room for 3 was spacious enough with quaint decor and a lovley view from the balcony. The itinerary was also well-planned, and special mention for the FOOD! My parents are usually particular about the quality and freshness of food, and they had nothing but compliments as the meals were truly above and beyond our expectations. All the seafood was fresh and each dish was tastefully prepared. The only part lacking in this experience was the transfer services. The bus pick-up timing and confirmation could be more promptly communicated as there was no message and I had to enquire via Whatsapp the day before (both in the morning and late afternoon), and it was quite chaotic once we reached the Ha Long Bay boat terminal. When we got off the bus, the process of collecting our luggage and waiting for our boat felt disorganized as there were 3-4 different staff attending to us, at times seeming to be unsure or overlapping each other’s instructions. The people in my group were visibly a bit confused as a result. After the hassle of check-in, everything on the cruise went smoothly. After our cruise, when we transferred back to the bus, a few people were led to the wrong bus. All in all, for the cruise experience itself, our crew manager and guide were friendly, competent and clear, and together with the hospitable Victory Star crew, ensured that we had an enjoyable and safe two days (and that our stomachs were always full and happy).
Good to know
