Reviews
If you plan to explore the Northern Kansai region, this pass is a must-buy, as it covers all reserved seats without any additional charges. We used this single pass for our trips to Maizuru, Amanohashidate, Fukuchiyama, Yumura Onsen, Kinosaki Onsen, and Kobe before returning to Osaka! It's incredibly cost-effective for a two-day trip to Amanohashidate and the surrounding area! Price: Excellent value for money Included Transportation Services: The two-day pass for Amanohashidate covers all train, boat, and cable car fares for a short period, allowing you to save time and fully experience Amanohashidate. Pass Coverage Area: Valid throughout Northern Kansai, though you might not be able to visit everything. Redemption Instructions: You can exchange your voucher and reserve seats directly at the JR station in Kansai Airport, where Chinese-speaking staff are available. Service begins at 5:30 AM! Seat Reservation Process: You can reserve your reserved seats later at JR station automatic ticket machines or by speaking with staff at the JR ticket counter.
Upon landing at Kansai Airport, you can exchange your voucher at the Green Window, which makes planning your trip easier. We used our 5-day pass on the first day to take the Haruka train to Osaka, and then immediately reserved seats for our subsequent journeys at the window, making it convenient for day trips to the suburbs. This time, we planned to visit Amanohashidate, Ine, and Kinosaki. The pass covers train travel to these areas, so there's no need to purchase additional tickets. However, the Amanohashidate and Ine 2-day pass can only be redeemed upon arrival at Amanohashidate Station, which is a bit inconvenient since you have to get there first. This 2-day pass is a great value if you're planning a two-day, one-night trip, as it includes unlimited rides on local buses, sightseeing boats, and even the cable car. It's most cost-effective when purchased with the JR 5-day pass. If bought separately, this 2-day pass costs 3500 yen, and I might not have purchased it then.
Purchasing the "Kansai Wide Area Pass (JR Pass)" combined with the "Kyoto Amanohashidate & Ine Sightseeing 2-Day Pass" package on Klook is the most economical and convenient transportation combination for independent travel to "Kyoto by the Sea." The biggest advantage of this package is the seamless connection between long-distance rail and local scenic transportation. Additionally, it offers unlimited rides for 5 consecutive days on express trains departing from Osaka and Kyoto, including the "Kyoto Tango Railway," which goes directly to Amanohashidate Station. Beyond the 2-day itinerary for Amanohashidate and Ine, the remaining 3 days of the JR 5-day pass allow for unlimited free travel on the Sanyo Shinkansen to Okayama and Kurashiki, or on express trains to Kinosaki Onsen, Tottori, Kobe, Wakayama Shirahama, and other destinations, offering an incredibly rich itinerary. This purchase is highly recommended.
Easy to redeem the pass at JR Ticket office at Kansai Airport. The pass is so worth it because I planned to go to Amanohashidate for a day trip. A regular return trip train ticket cost ¥10,000 more than the pass it self. Fortunately I bought this pass because I encountered an unexpected situation where I have to split the day trip into 2 days. So with the pass I saved the extra day return trip cost. Although the pass allows only 6 times seat reservations but I still think it's worth it. I use it for JR Haruka & Amanohashidate day trip seat reservations. Do note that all seats to Amanohashidate are reserved seats. So just go to the green kiosk machine to do seat reservations by pressing the Coupon Ticket and then insert the JR pass physical ticket before selecting the departure & arrival destination, and seat selection.
It's convenient to use, you can reserve seats, and it's valid for airport transfers and the Hello Kitty train. You can also use it on the Loop Line in Osaka. Just using it for Tottori-Ine-Osaka-Maishima Seaside Park-Airport makes it worthwhile. And buying the 2-day pass for Amanohashidate and Ine is incredibly good value. It includes unlimited ferry crossings, unlimited Ine Bay sightseeing boat rides, unlimited bus rides within Ine, unlimited cable car rides up and down in Ine, and a free bus to the mountain temple with free temple entry. It's super worth it! We stayed near the Ine ferry terminal, so we took the ferry instead of the bus to our hotel, which only took 12 minutes.
Amanohashidate and Ine day tour was the highlight of my Osaka trip, and using the JR pass in almost all of my train rides in Osaka and the neighboring areas of Kobe and Kyoto was very maximized. I even got to ride the Shinkansen to Himeji using the JR pass.
I have visited ten cities in Kansai staying eight nights in Japan. I checked into a hotel near Shin Osaka and took turns to visit cities well connected to the train services in the pass. Osaka, Kobe, Himeji, Okayama, Kurashiki, Takamatsu, Nara, Uji, Kyoto were under my radar. Nothing can be said other than Arigatōgozaimashita.🙏🏻
Instant approval and exchange voucher received by email. Can exchange for the pass at ticket machines in JR Osaka station and can reserve seats in shinkansen and limited express trains by the same machine for up to 6 trips
Very good price JR region pass train ticket. We can travel from Kyoto to Takamatsu and Amanohashidate within 5 days. We bought 12,000 yens but we used all reserved seats train both Shinkansen and limited express trains at value nearly 30,000 yens
This pass is spendid. It is the best available option for a traveller from overseas to explore Kansai. The servicemen in Shin Osaka are very responsible and provided excellent service to help you on track. The times and punctuality of Shinkansen is the best in the world. Arigatōgozaimashita…
