Reviews
Unfortunately, our helicopter flight got canceled due to bad weather. The other group that was flying with us did not want to go ahead as we could not fly over the volcano despite us being able to.
We were on our honeymoon in Hawaii and had already visited Volcanoes National Park by car to see the volcano. Afterward, we were scheduled to see the volcano again via a helicopter tour, but due to the weather, we were told it couldn't happen that day. We were given the option to reschedule with the other people who had booked the tour or to tour the Kohala Coast, and we all decided to go to the Kohala Coast. They told us this as soon as we arrived, without any prior notice. Honestly, the Kohala Coast was quite boring; the scenery was all the same and nothing special. For us, having already seen the volcano, it was even more disappointing.
Unfortunately, the other 3 members of the group didn't read the instructions and wore white tops. Yet, they were seated next to the front and rear windows, causing constant reflections during the aerial photography. The pilot's explanation was thorough, and the safety measures were comprehensive, making us feel secure. However, this also meant many restrictions. You could only get a quick photo taken by an employee after the ride, and then you had to leave quickly. There wasn't much time to take more pictures with the helicopter (especially since it was my first time, and I wanted to take more!).
