Reviews
Reviews summary1. The bus stops in Kyoto are complicated to find, so we recommend arriving 20 minutes early. Once you find your stop, you can then go inside to buy drinks and snacks to take on the bus. 2. Buses at Kyoto Station can only stop for 10 minutes and depart very punctually. There was actually a group of 5 people who missed their bus. 3. The journey is quite long, so we suggest bringing convenience store food for lunch. The Ine Kawasakya rice balls sell out quickly, and other shops have long lines, which might make you late for the next destination. There aren't many food options there. 4. There isn't much good food near Amanohashidate, and what's available is very expensive. Souvenirs can be bought elsewhere. 5. Vending machine drinks are also more expensive, so it's best to bring your own. 6. Because the attractions were very crowded, the tour guide asked if everyone wanted to flexibly adjust the order of meals or the next attraction, showing great adaptability.
Had an amazing time during this tour, tour guide Amy was very friendly and offered very clear explanation of the itinerary and attractions. We even got to skip the queue for the chair lift since we were part of the tour group. She's great with English, Chinese and Japanese. Highly recommend anyone looking to visit amanohashidate to join this day tour for a hassle free experience!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing trip to Amanohashidate and Ine! Everything was well organized, and the whole trip was smooth and enjoyable. Our guide, JUN, was fantastic—friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. He made the trip even more fun and memorable. Highly recommended! 🇯🇵✨
We booked this tour through Klook, and everything went smoothly. It was very hot since it’s summer in Japan, but Ms. Effy and Rex were very prepared and had everything we needed to make the trip more comfortable. They even gave us souvenirs, which was a really nice surprise. We’ve booked several tours through Klook, and this was the first time a guide gave us souvenirs. One of my friends also had a girls’ emergency, and Ms. Effy kindly went out of her way to help her and make sure she was comfortable. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend this tour.
Amanohashidate was the absolute highlight of my trip to Japan. The scenery is breathtaking—from the charming houses lining the bay to the crystal-clear water. One of my favorite moments was the boat ride, where seagulls and eagles flew so close that we could feed them. Riding the cable car to the viewpoint and seeing the famous pine-covered sandbar, said to resemble a dragon soaring through the sky, was simply spectacular. It’s one of those places that photos can never fully capture, and I highly recommend adding it to any Japan itinerary. A special thanks to our tour guide, Amanda. She speaks excellent English, provided detailed and interesting information throughout the tour, and kept everything well organized. The entire trip ran very smoothly, making the experience enjoyable and stress-free from start to finish.
Rex is the name of our tour guide. He was very helpful in everyway. He is very fluent in english, good communication skills. He gave us the right directions to where we can see the beauty of our tour package. He also recommended other things to do while in Japan. Lastly, he is very approachable and gave us souvenirs to keep.
This tour was extremely satisfying. It was more time and cost-efficient, and overall more effective, than traveling by train or highway bus. Our guide, Rex, was very attentive and provided detailed explanations. We also appreciated that he took photos for us. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the places we visited, and his explanations before our arrival made the experience even more enjoyable. When booking, I received detailed information in Japanese, which led me to overlook that the tour's primary languages were Chinese and English. However, important details like meeting times were also provided in Japanese, and the team was very flexible. Since I have a decent understanding of English, I didn't encounter any particular difficulties, but those who are not comfortable with English might feel a bit confused in some situations (though they do provide excellent support 👍). Furthermore, even though it was a hot tour, we were delighted by the thoughtful gestures, such as receiving salt tablets, refreshing wipes, and even souvenir postcards. Thanks to these considerations, we were able to comfortably enjoy the trip until the very end!
a lot of travel time in the bus from Osaka but SO SO SOOOOOO worth it! I fell asleep from Osaka to Kyoto but the drive from Kyoto to Funaya/Ine Bay and Amanohashidate was beautiful and the views at each place was even better. I did this as a solo trip and my tour guide, Rex, made me feel very comfortable and involved. He also gave us a lot of history and cracked a few funny jokes! It was a beautiful day in North Kyoto and I am so glad I went out of my confort zone to experience this.
I booked this tour last minute, the day before. The tour guide contacted me the night before to confirm the meeting point. Our guide, Ellen Wang, was very attentive to every traveler. For the seagull feeding activity, she thoughtfully prepared and personally provided seagull food to each of us. She paid close attention to every aspect and need of the tour. Feeding the seagulls was a lot of fun, and the boat house tour offered a glimpse into different aspects of Japanese culture. The cable car ride during the Amanohashidate tour was especially enjoyable, and the scenery was absolutely beautiful—definitely worth visiting! Ellen Wang also thoughtfully sent individual messages with meeting times and recommended attractions near Amanohashidate. Her meticulous service made our family's trip fun and happy. The guide's attentive and excellent service is highly recommended.
The trip was very fun, we've really this trip. Our tour guide Allen is an expect at teaching us the history of the each places we've visited. He imparted us with knowledge about each of the places and taught us some trivias about Japan. He made it very fun, he made funny jokes, taught us some trade-offs of activities, and recommended which food to try. He's very honest too when it comes to his commendations. Ofcourse, he taught us the proper manners when visting each places and how to properly act inside the temple.
