What to expect
Taichung MRT officially began operations on April 25, 2021. The route starts from Beitun Main Station, passes through Songzhu Road, Beitun Road, Wenxin Road, Jianguo Road, and ends at HSR Taichung Station. There are 18 stations in total. Among them, HSR Taichung Station is a three-way co-location, making it convenient for people to transfer to the High-Speed Rail and Taiwan Railways. Taiwan Railways passengers can also transfer to the MRT at Songzhu Station and Daqing Station. In addition, each MRT station is equipped with YouBike rental stations, and multiple bus routes pass through them. Through the integration of the MRT and other surrounding transportation, you can easily explore Taichung.

Although the Taichung MRT stops at very few stations, the one-day ticket given is very high-quality. I originally thought it would just be a piece of paper, but it turned out to be like the EasyCard. I hope the Taichung MRT will be more convenient in the future.
This time I chose to purchase a one-day ticket for the Taichung MRT. The pick-up window is at the Taichung MRT service counter. There is also an event to give away Starbucks discount coupons, which you have to redeem at Klook first. There is also a Starbucks at Taichung Station. It is recommended to buy a combined ticket from Klook, which is really cost-effective.
Purchasing on Klook is very convenient; you can redeem your tickets directly at the service counter at the MRT entrance of the HSR Taichung Station.
The one-day tour in Taichung is very useful. It is most cost-effective to buy a package ticket on Klook. I will buy it again next time.
Take the High Speed Rail from Taipei Main Station to Taichung Wuri Station. After arriving at the station, go directly to the MRT service counter to exchange the MRT card. It is very convenient and worth recommending.
It's good, but the MRT system is terrible. The staff tried everything to get the one-day ticket in the last 10 minutes. I almost missed the high-speed train.
I bought this with the high-speed rail package. I hope I can take the 24-hour package next time instead of ending on the same day. Otherwise, I feel it is a waste to take only one trip.
After arriving at Taichung High Speed Rail Station, you can walk directly to Taichung MRT Station to exchange for a one-day ticket. It is very convenient. You can enter and exit Taichung MRT within one day, but you cannot use it for other means of transportation!
Perfect for exploring Taichung without a car, and the pick-up process is quite convenient. Pairing it with the High-Speed Rail ticket makes it a great deal.
Taichung MRT tickets allow me to travel to various places. To be honest, I quite like Taichung MRT tickets.
