Kyoto Kimono Photoshoot Experience

I had such an amazing kimono photoshoot experience with Jojo! He was incredibly professional, patient, and considerate throughout the whole session, which made me feel comfortable right away. He also made everything really fun and easygoing, so it never felt awkward in front of the camera. What I appreciated most was how thoughtful he was — he even helped me book a taxi afterwards to make sure I got back safely. The photos turned out beautiful, and the entire experience felt so special and memorable. Highly recommend Jojo if you want stunning photos and a genuinely kind photographer!

This is such an amazing experience, big thanks to my photographer, Raku, for his work and for having to wait for me because I was running so late. It was pure magic to experience the cherry blossom season while wearing a kimono. I can't wait to experience this again when I come to visit Japan again

our photographer Kuma was the best! he was very patient despite us having 2 young kids who were either fussing or sleeping. he also helped us carry our stroller. he has a really good eye for photography and poses - our pictures turned out amazing although it was cloudy and drizzling. very pleased with this photoshoot experience, highly recommend it!

We had a wonderful experience with our photographer, Jojo! He communicated with us clearly before, during, and after the photoshoot, which made the whole process easy and enjoyable!! I’m so glad we booked this service! It took all the stress out of figuring out where to go or how to capture great photos ourselves. Jojo guided us to beautiful, less-crowded spots. He gave us clear directions and even demonstrated poses for us, which made us feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. Every so often, he’d show us previews of the shots, which we really appreciated. He was an absolute pleasure to work with, and we were amazed at how quickly he delivered the final photos — we had them by the end of the day! 10/10 would definitely recommend Jojo for anyone looking for a professional and memorable photoshoot experience in Kyoto

Great experience with our photographer Kuma! He communicated with us well before, during, and after the photoshoot. My husband and I were visiting Kyoto and decided to rent kimonos and have a photoshoot and I am so glad we booked this service, so we did not have to worry about where to go for pictures or who would take good ones of us. I’m excited to have professionally shot photographs as a souvenir of this trip and this experience. Kuma picked less traveled spots for our photos so there were not too many people in the background, but you still got the vintage-Kyoto vibe. He was very clear in his instructions and gave both my husband and me posing ideas (even modeled them for us) so we wouldn’t look awkward or be in the same pose for every photo. Every so often, he would take time to show us the pictures that he took of us. He was wonderful to work with and quick to provide the final photos after. By the end of the day, we had pictures already! 10/10 would recommend!

I’m glad I did this photoshoot. I’m so grateful for Jojo who did my photoshoot! He is excellent! Book him right away! It’s the best decision ever. My pictures are stunning and this is because of him. He is so patient, helpful and earlier than call time. He actually found me when we got lost in Kyoto hahahaha. But nonetheless, he is an A list photographer! The main reason for this trip to Kyoto was to take my mother to leave some memories of her wearing kimono. I originally thought that I could just bring my own tripod to take photos, but later I found out that there was no way for tourists to take photos with just one tripod or three tripods, so I searched online for local photography services. I saw the photos of this activity option on KLOOK and I liked it very much. The atmosphere and color were very beautiful. After discussing with my mother, I placed an order. Within three days, the customer service of the photography activity contacted me by e-mail. We exchanged letters two or three times and they were very patient in confirming the shooting location with me. The night before the scheduled date, photographer JOJO also added me on the communication app, reconfirmed the location where we would wear kimonos the next day, and said that he would pick us up if he could make it. (Actually, I thought it was just a polite remark, but...) The highlight came. I actually chose a kimono experience store that didn't provide makeup. Because my mother and I were both bare-faced, I desperately asked JOJO for help. He immediately sent me the address of a store that only required makeup and could communicate in Chinese, and told us not to be nervous, and that he would wait for us in this emergency. Just when we were almost finished with our makeup, he really came directly to the store to pick us up. It was really reassuring, especially my mom, who was completely relieved. During the shooting process, he always guided us in posing in a friendly and humorous way. Especially for someone like me who gets extremely embarrassed in front of the camera, he was a real lifesaver! He remained professional throughout, occasionally telling jokes that made us laugh, and always found photo opportunities along the way to capture our natural side. He led my mother and me to walk until we arrived at Hachisaka Pagoda. It was obviously a long way to go, and I didn't feel tired even though I was wearing a tight kimono and unfamiliar straw sandals. We were given the link to the original file on the night of the shoot. My mother and I spent the whole night in Japan looking at it and were very satisfied with it. After returning to Taiwan, we picked out 10 photos and asked JOJO to help us with retouching. He sent them back to us within three days. Very efficient! I am very grateful to JOJO for this trip, because this professional yet not arrogant and funny photographer left me and my mother with very good memories. I would also like to thank the team behind the scenes. The emails exchanged beforehand really made me feel at ease. : )

The photographer is very patient and demonstrates the movements personally, so that people who don’t often take pictures can easily understand and make natural movements. When shooting, he also pays attention to the small details of the characters (ex. hair, posture, angle, clothing and appearance) etc.), it made me feel that the photographer was very considerate and wanted to take good photos. The photographer’s private scenic spots were beautiful and sparsely populated. When shooting, I would not feel embarrassed by the crowd. When the scene moved, he introduced the scenic spots by the way. The introduction made us very surprised and happy as it was our first time to hire a photographer☺️ During the shooting, we communicated with the photographer about our special shooting ideas, and the photographer was able to turn his ideas into beautiful photos. It was really great! ❤️ After the shooting, I got the files that night! I’m really happy to be able to post photos to social media when I have a rest at night! 😆

His professionalism and approachable nature made the entire experience of capturing moments in Kyoto smooth and memorable.
