I spent 5 hours in this Museum. To understand more about Vincent Van Gough. Anyway, go and no regret and worth to do so. The museum is amazing to attract me to spend time and think more about my life.
Happy to actually see all Van Gogh's painting plus many of his peers and teachers art work, had pull myself together when I saw the famous Sun flowers, nearly 45+ years it took me to get here and I'm glad I did...don't wait.
We had such a heartfelt experience at the Van Gogh Museum. Everything was smooth from the start, easy to get to, ticket just scanned instantly, and even the cloakroom was super organized. The museum itself is beautifully laid out, you really feel like you’re walking through Van Gogh’s life, seeing both his rise and the bittersweet decline in his later works. We also loved the temporary exhibit and the little area where you can sit and draw for a moment and feel a bit like Van Gogh yourself. The whole visit was moving, calming, and absolutely worth the price. It’s one of those places that stays with you long after you leave.
Locals keep advising us that we need to book Van Gogh tickets a month before our arrival. Klook make it quick and easy. We booked a day prior and still got a timeslot for 2 pax. Museum was worth it, recommend to purchase an audio tour.
i got the chills when i saw his portrait in the flesh! was a big museum. lots to see. i didnt get the audio so you gotta read a lot. best to see van gogh works before the temporary exhibits first. it was so beautiful.
The Van Gogh Museum is in the city and can be reached by public transportation. There are many paintings by Van Gogh in the museum that you can enjoy. You can freely choose your favorite works and listen to the commentary on the audio guide, which is very convenient. The design concept of the museum is great, clean and comfortable, and there are electronic screens playing Van Gogh's works. It is nice place to visit while in Amsterdam.
"People say that it's difficult to know oneself - but it's not easy to paint oneself either." - Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890) From the many museums to visit in lovely Amsterdam, I chose the Van Gogh Museum to be sort of my crash course on contemporary art, with me leaving the museum having a better appreciation and understanding of Vincent van Gogh as the artist, his personal life (especially he and his brother Theo's enduring love for each other no matter the circumstances, which struck me hard ❤️‍🩹), and his invaluable contributions to modern art that influenced and inspired so many, much deeper what the song "Vincent" (more popularly known as "Starry Starry Night") by Don McLean evokes.
The Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam is a must-visit for art enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. The museum houses the world’s largest collection of Vincent van Gogh's works, including iconic paintings like "Sunflowers" and "The Bedroom." The layout is well-organized, guiding you through his life and artistic evolution with insightful exhibits and personal letters. The atmosphere is both inspiring and contemplative, making it easy to lose track of time as you immerse yourself in his vibrant use of color and emotional depth. The museum also offers a variety of temporary exhibitions, enhancing the experience further. Overall, the Van Gogh Museum is a captivating tribute to one of history's greatest artists and a highlight of any trip to Amsterdam.
