To ensure you have a smooth and worry-free trip, please read the following important notes carefully:

📍 Reservation and Meeting Information

  • Due to the varying reservation slots available daily for the Zao Ropeway tickets, there is a high probability that the departure time and itinerary will change. The supplier will send a pre-departure notification email to the email address you provided one week before departure. Please be sure to check it to ensure your own rights.
  • The amount of snowfall in the South Tohoku region varies slightly each year, and significant snowfall usually occurs around the end of December. The best viewing period for the Zao snow monsters is from mid-January to early March each year.
  • If you choose to join the tour before the snow season, you may still have the opportunity to enjoy the autumn foliage, but we cannot guarantee snow or snow monsters. Thank you for your understanding.
  • This tour requires a minimum of 2 people per departure date. If the minimum number is not reached, you will be notified of the tour’s cancellation no later than 7 days before departure, and the unfulfilled order will be canceled.
  • Please arrive at the designated meeting point 10 minutes before the scheduled time. Late arrivals will be considered a “no-show” and will not be refunded.
  • All important notifications will be sent via Email. Please check your email regularly to avoid missing critical information.
  • For this tour, group reservation slots for the Zao Ropeway tickets have been secured with the ropeway supplier. Although priority entry is granted, it does not guarantee skipping the line. During busy periods, waiting times may still be approximately 0.5 to 1 hour (general queues may take approximately 1 to 3 hours).

🚗 Itinerary and Transportation Arrangements

  • This tour is a shared day tour in Japan and will be joined by other international travelers. Please cooperate with the meeting time and group pace.
  • The vehicle type will be adjusted according to the number of people on the day, and specific vehicles cannot be requested. Thank you for your understanding.
  • The order of the itinerary may be adjusted due to traffic or weather conditions. Please follow the instructions of the staff on board.
  • If the Zao Ropeway is suspended due to weather conditions, the ropeway fee will be refunded, and the tour will proceed as planned.
  • Roads may be snowy and icy in winter, and travel times may be delayed. Please avoid arranging overly tight subsequent itineraries.
  • Onsite staff will provide assistance in Chinese/English/Japanese/Korean, but specific languages cannot be guaranteed. Thank you for your understanding.

🧳 Luggage and Participation Qualifications

  • We do not recommend participation for infants under 2 years old or those with limited mobility. This tour does not provide infant car seats or barrier-free facilities.
  • If you need to bring large luggage or have train transfer needs, please indicate this when registering, and we will assist with arrangements as appropriate.
  • The Ginzan Onsen street area is a pedestrian street and cannot be accessed by car. You will need to get off the vehicle and walk in, so please prepare your personal belongings.
  • The snow season is prone to slipperiness. If elderly individuals or pregnant women are traveling with you, please assess their physical condition before deciding whether to participate.
  • You may bring personal equipment such as snow poles and non-slip shoe covers. Please prepare them yourself if needed.

👟 Clothing and Meal Recommendations

  • We strongly recommend wearing waterproof and non-slip snow boots, down jackets, hats, gloves, and scarves, as well as other complete warm clothing. You may also bring hand warmers and a thermos.
  • Suggested items to bring: a small handkerchief or towel, as Ginzan Onsen Street provides free foot baths for use after soaking your feet.
  • Lunch time is free time on this tour. Please take care of your own meal expenses and choose your own meals. Staff can provide basic assistance, but if you have allergies or dietary restrictions, please be sure to confirm the ingredients and choose carefully.
  • Restaurants in the mountain areas are crowded during the winter season or have irregular closing times. It is recommended to prepare simple food or energy supplements in advance for unexpected needs.
