Things to do at Gyeongbokgung

It was a really nice experience! The hanbok quality was good, and the price is reasonable. The staffs are also nice too. Moreover, the location is near Gyeongbokgung palace. So you can easily go there to take pictures wearing Hanbok!

The hanbok rental shop is within 5 minutes walking distance to the Gyeongbokgung Palace. We chose the traditional costume and there were plenty of choices to mix and match (top and bottom) from, with staff on site to assist with the wearing. For ladies, you’d also get to choose 3 simple hairstyles. You’d need to deposit your passport as guarantee, they will provide you with a locker at the basement to temporarily deposit your stuffs. Whole process of rental is fuss free and easy!

The shop is super easy to locate, just beside Gyeongbokgung Palace. The staff were extremely helpful and speak good English. There's also a locker to place your belongings.

Two hours passed by. I have come to have more love for Gyeongbokgung. I want to hear it again.

The shop is not too far from the train station (the description and the map is accurate so you don’t get lost). Since the shop are close to both Changdeokgung and Gyeongbokgung palace. The vocher is easy to redeem at this shop. The Unnie (the owner) is very kind and so friendly and very service minded. She suggested the hanbok for our family and do a lovely hairstyle and nice wallet to match with the hanbok. She also guide on the sightseeing and print us the lovely picture when we returned the hanbok back. Highly recommend to you all!

It’s easy to find hanboknam shop, which is located at exit 4 of Gyeongbokgung station. If you are bringing along kids with stroller, there’s an elevator near exit 4. I chose the themed hanbok where there are more choices of “blinky blinky” dress compared to traditional hanbok of simpler choice. The staffs are super helpful. I went in the morning and weekday to avoid crowd. With 2 kids, I chose 2.5hr of rental where I had plenty of time strolling around and taking photos, no rushing at all. Kids hanbok is located at upstairs.

There are quite many designs to choose from and the price for doing hair with accessories is also quite cheap just 3000 won. The staff will assist in wearing of the hanbok. Just a short walking distance from the subway and the Gyeongbokgung

100% recommend buying tickets online as it is cheaper than walk in. if you want the SPARKLY bling hanbok it is THEME hanbok! i didnt know and got traditional one. it is still pretty but no bling. there are endless options for theme hanbok. service is reallyy busyy. it feels like a pick-up and go. they still attend to you with a smile. the team of 5 is constantly in a mad rush attending to at least 40 customers at the same time. would recommend going early to avoid crowd. if you are looking for a customized and personalize styling this is NOT the shop for you. if u love taking pictures, get 2.5 hours deal and walk around the Gyeongbokgung & Bukchon Hanok Village. spend your time wisely :)

Hanbok experience. 🥰 It was such a nice feeling (just like in Korean Movies) walking around the Gyeongbokgung palace wearing the Hanbok. The Hanbok Shop was very organized and they are quite fast too. There were a lot of Hanbok Rental Shops around but they have the more affordable price compared to others. I just added a few thousands for my hairstyling and studio shots. All in all it was an easy breezy transaction with the help of Klook. ☺️
